My light was really stiff and I turned it but it wouldn't come out, I then stopped trying and it just fell out the socket with no effort. It has smashed all over my stove, beanbag and turkish rug. Thanks for the tutorial 10/10 the bulb is replaced and I found out that the answer to "how many cdawgs does it take to change a light bulb?" is none because the light bulb will just fall by itself and explode.

One of my bathroom halogen LED lights went out and when I switched it around with the other halogen LED light that was working it triggered my ICON airflow fan to stay on and I can’t turn it off unless I switch it off from the fuse box downstairs. So I bought two brand new LED lights but this time both lights come on but when I try turning them off they go dim and will not turn off with the fan. So I have to turn on/off the fuse box downstairs to activate my bathroom lights. I’m not sure if the new LED lights from Toolstation are cheaply made which is why they are doing this, or maybe it is the metal holders that the lights plug into, in my ceiling.

Bear in mind there are different types of fitting, and different types of bulb. I watched 3 videos to find one that worked for me. Sometimes you press and rotate the bulb, sometimes you pull it. Sometimes you rotate the inner besel, sometimes you pull out the whole fitting. It's misleading for each video to just say 'this is the way you do it'!

Where can I get the casing from, quite similar to yours?
@DVDfeverGames2 жыл бұрын
I think I have a similar recessed socket, but I can't pull the casing surrounding the bulb down far enough. I only seem to be able to pull it down a couple of centimetres, so I only see that casing and am not able to see the bulb's connection into the socket. I don't want to tug it down too hard and risk breaking the ceiling that surrounds it. Do you have any tips, please?
@Hysteria20032 жыл бұрын
I’ve got the exact problem with mine. Were you able to replace yours?
@DVDfeverGames2 жыл бұрын
@@Hysteria2003 I made a video about my tale of woes just recently, but in short, I did get the casing down of one (after asking my usual handyman to change them), and I saw he had done this with one of them, but after I'd made a bit of a mess (because the spring-loaded clips are stopping it from coming down further unless you force it), I realised I only have to unscrew the circular chrome casing. So, while I might need to pull it down slightly to access the chrome bit, that's all I need to unscrew. Barney's video doesn't have a big casing - I presume - because his are LED, so I think the big casing is to protect the halogen light transformer. Hope that helps, but take a quick look at my video and let me know what you think.

The camera is too far away from what you are trying to demonstrate. You seem to have set the camera up to get you in the picture, but people want to see the the actual electrics rather than you - which isn't rude, merely a statement of fact! Try getting the camera closer to what you want to show us.

Old halogen lights are better, don, t blind you, are nice and easy on the eyes not overly bright that your squinting, led lights are a false lumen that are too bright for the human eye, they suck.
