Hi! I think less than half the tour spots are available for reservation, meaning most spots are available at the airport. So if you land early enough from your first flight, go straight to the tour desk and try to book it!

If you want to tour yourself, I believe you can just take a taxi or maybe public transportation to downtown. You can maybe also join a tour to get to the downtown area and when it's time to head back, tell the tour guide you'll stay behind and find your own way all the way back to the airport. Keep in mind the airport is about an hour outside of downtown.

Awesome video! I will have an 8 hour layover in ICN so I hope I can do a tour. I will be flying in from SIN ; the flight leaves at 1:10 am but I have trouble sleeping on a plane so I’m concerned about bad jet lag when I get to ICN. Also, did you change any money in Korea? It seems silly since you were there for such a short time but maybe you used a credit card?
@R0bbeezy
@R0bbeezy 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting! My flight into ICN was also early. I remember being a bit tired but had some coffee to try and stay awake. The tours are usually in downtown Seoul, which is about an hour bus ride from the airport so I was able to nap on the bus for a bit. For the $10 fee, they accept USD, and then for small other things I bought, I was able to use a credit card. I didn't plan on buying a lot so a card worked but if you are planning on buying a lot, cash might be convenient.

And I plan to have a long layover when I get back, meaning I will be coming from US, then to Seoul and then to Manila. Will they be approving Filipinos going back to Manila or only those from Manila going to US? Sorry, I hope my question is clear. Thank you in advance for your answer.

Glad I could help! The airport itself has many areas that you can sleep. They can get full usually so just keep that in mind. In terms of showers, there are two areas where you can go to shower for free in the airport. It's closer to the center of the airport and up a set of escalators.

hi there! thanks so much for this video, found it very helpful as my flight in march includes this 15 hr layover. I arrive at 4:50 and depart at 8:40pm. I booked the same tour I believe from 8am-1pm. I also booked another tour which is 2 hrs from 2-4pm. I should have enough time right? and was planning on going to the 7-8am tour as well (might as well take advantage of it) how much money would you think I need to exchange to buy souvenirs (key chains, magnets) ?
@R0bbeezy
@R0bbeezy 6 жыл бұрын
I definitely think you have more than enough time for all those tours! The amount of money you need to exchange will depend largely on how many souvenirs you plan on buying. I say for a handful of people, maybe at least US$20. The airport has money exchange stations so if you exchange too much, you could always exchange it back after!

@R0bbeezy
@R0bbeezy 6 жыл бұрын
30 hours is more than enough time to go around Korea. However, with that much longer of a layover, a more formal visa may be required since it's a bit longer stay than just transient. Check first to see what the rules may be for that but besides that, you definitely can have your aunt pick you up and drop you off! Also, you could first go on the bus but when it leaves to go back to the airport, just tell them you want to stay behind because you're aunt will pick you up! Thanks for watching! I feel like it's pushing it but I'm not sure how smooth this airports flow is. The next shuttle is 1pm so i want to avoid waiting that long for a shuttle. At that point i may just want to buy a subway card and do some self exploring. Thank you so much. Oh also, if you have any tips or ideas on where to explore with a 9hr lay over that would be greatly appreciated! :D
@R0bbeezy
@R0bbeezy 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! It was a pretty long walk just from the plane to customs. The customs line in itself wasn't long but it coul've been because I landed around 5 am. I would be a bit wary to try and do the 10 am. It might be worth still reserving and trying to make it but if you miss it, then you could do some self exploring. The palaces are always nice to look at, especially the large one I saw in my video. That one is also closer to downtown so it's closer to other places to look around. Insadong is good for shopping but if you want a busier area with more stores, go to Myeongdong. I think there are some free walking tours you can join as well!

after you go through immigration, go down to baggage claim level, go the sliding doors to the 'pre-security' area and there should be the information desk between exits 8 and 9! check the description box for the link to reserve your tour online!

Hello! I believe there are a couple before you pass through immigration but the one I went to was in terminal 1, after I left immigration, close to gate 8 I think. Click the link in the description box then click tour information and there should be a map there for the location of the desk! Thanks again for watching! Please don’t forget to like and subscribe!

Thanks for commenting! When I arrived in Korea, to leave the airport I went through customs. Then when I got back to the airport after the tour, I just went through the regular security line (xray, metal detector, etc) and then walked to my gate!

Hi! I just want to ask what time did u arrived at the airport from the tour, is it exactly around 1pm or 30 minutes before 1pm? Because I was thinking of going for 2 tours, one is city seoul tour 8-1pm, then the shopping tour at 1pm-6pm. I planning to take the long haul flight of korean air from Phil to US. The seoul to us flight will leave at 8pm.

Hello! From what I remember, we arrived at right about 1pm. If you talk to the person at the desk, they can better recommend to you if you can make it to both tours! I didn't think I would be able to make it to my first one but they were the ones who recommended it. So maybe if anything, you can try to reserve both right now but then talk to the person when you get to Seoul airport whether or not it is doable! Thanks again for watching!
