My only question is: Does the mineral feed do anything other than add 1 more item to TMR? And incase anyone else is wondering the max capacity of the shed 115k silage 49k straw and hay 49K mineral feed 39k straw for bedding (you dump it in the same area as you would for feeding them)

I use the Anderson pro chop 150 or Kuhn primor 15070 m. They're under tools and the animals, scroll far right. Hope this helps.

The robot went to the cows to give them food put if I look at my cow barn it shows o% food. All the 3 silos plus mineral food is ok, robot works fine..do I need to wait a while until it shows more food %?

Having the same problem, it uses the material, robot moves and feeds but it never raises the value of the tmr, mod is broken IMO

But where do you store an overload of this stuff. You can make a silage bunker and a hay loft to store all of this stuff but how could you store loose straw. Will straw sit in a silage bunker can i even unload it there. I want to get into cows but its kind of hard learning everything. And isnt silage just hay anyway thats fermented. So i can have 1 field of grass to get my hay and to make silage and have 1 field of whatever gives me straw but i need help on storing this stuff and where i put my cow barn the feeding facility is only accessible by a front loader or a wheel loader or a backhoe type a thing lol. I cannot back up trailers to the feed station so i need to store this stuff off site and bring over what i need when i need.

Did you add the mineral feed? Without it, no tmr is being made. If it runs out of the mineral feed, it stops working, even though the robot animation still works, at least in my experience.

i have the barn, put 12 cows in... but the auto feeder doors are closed, so i can't put stuff in there... am i missing something?. several hrs have gone by and nothing as happened, im on x5 time

You put the required items in the exterior bins and it should feed around every hour. If you are inside the perimeter of the bins the curtain will not close and cows will not be fed. Make sure you don't have anything blocking the curtain when it closes.

The door on the far right remains closed until the robot fills from the hay, straw and silage bins. Once ready it will close the large screen, open the overhead door that the robot is behind. It will then come out and turn to your right to enter barn to feed. So there is the far right door the robot is behind, and then there is the screen that comes down and closes during the filling of the robot. Hope this helps.

I have not tested it in a while, you used to only be able to put loose products in so out of a trailer and not in bale form

yes you do. collect straw up with a forage wagon and you can drive through the feeding area and it will give you the option to unload the straw.

You can either put it in a hay loft then get it out in a trailer, pick it up with a front loader and put it in the trailer, cheat it into the trailer using easy dev tools, or get it from a modded buy station

If there is a barn it automatically gives them water you do not need to add water if there is a barn, only to the open pasture.

I’m playing on Elmcreek with the 80 cow barn with the auto feeder and i have mineral feed, hay and silage all inside the barn and have let 4 hours pass and the animation never happened and the health is all still at zero?!

They have always needed those ingredients (they are used to make TMR) for best production. Make sure you have mineral feed in the barn or it wont work to increase there food

Great vid btw just something to say I’m on Xbox series s and when I place any animal enclosure and say that was cows i buy the max amount of cows for the that enclosure and it can only see like 6-10 of that animal and that happened every time with every animal even if I just buy a few :( I was just wondering if u could help me out!??

It will only show visually some of the animals even if there is more. If it showed all the animals you owned it would crash the game

Not sure if it makes sense or not. Say you have that barn filled with the 120 cows or whatever it holds…can the robot even keep up with that many cows. Also looks like you just be constantly refilling the bays with material at which point you might as well just make tmr and do it yourself?

No the robot keeps up and the food lasts a long long time,. All you need to do is keep and eye on mineral level and hay straw and silage .

The auto feeder isn’t working at all. I put in the hay, straw, and silage, and every hour it does nothing. I’ve even fast forward to next day, and still nothing. The hay straw and silage levels are still the exact same when I put them in. I’m on Xbox series X.

The only animal that takes grass are sheep, cows will eat it in the other pens but this is set up for only hay

My question is what percentage of each item does it use to make the mix, and also do you get 100% of the ingredients out that you put in. I have a feed mixing mod I use and the mix on it is all wrong, you put in 1000 of each ingredient including mineral feed but only get 1000 tmr out of it. I have modified the xml's for it myself to make it better but am really interested to know what mix Giants are using on this one.

So to make tmr, you have to put 25% straw, 25% hay, 50% silage, and 2-5% mineral feed. Now I’ve heard straw is not needed to make tmr, but I personally add that in. Idk exactly how much of each item you need, just the percentages.

Straw is just a extender for TMR you don’t have to use it at all but you do need hay AND silage

You need to add the mineral feed aswell. It won't feed the cows unless it has all 4 ingredients.
