Thank you Diane for sharing this expirience with using different brushes... I'm still searching what would be best for my watercolor art... I have many different ones and I use only a few... and I know that some would sat that it's not proffessional but I love those watercolor brushes that you can fill water in it - they are so useful for big surfaces so your paint doesn't dry to quickly... have a wonderful day! 💖😊 Marija

Thanks so much Marija! Sorry for not replying sooner, but here I am! I haven't tried those water brushes yet, but I must get hold of one and have a go. Nothing unprofessional about them - I suppose a toothbrush could be called unprofessional too but I don't see why! I use a very few brushes too, only my rounds really of different sizes. You don't need much else! Happy painting!

Are the flat brushes also what you would use for acrylic paints?
@DianeAntoneStudio Жыл бұрын
Some acrylic brushes are suitable for watercolor, if they are soft enough. But general watercolor flats are slightly softer than acrylic flats.

I'm after some brushes that are pointed but also snap back to a point, hard to find .

I know a lot of people use Princeton brushes although I haven't yet tried them. There is the inexpensive Princeton Snap watercolor brush which might serve your purpose, or they have the more expensive Neptune and Heritage. I have heard the Escoda Versatil, also highly recommended - here's a link amzn.to/3hKbE40

What brand was the French rigger brush?
@DianeAntoneStudio3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sally, it came from Great Art and it’s a “Leonard” brush, Aquarellys line model 972PS Hope that helps.
