it is easy , if rootless: on palera1n loader REVERT if rootful: on winra1n : rootful > restore fakefs > jailbreak (device will return to stock)

Hello, I am currently using palera1n rootfull on my iPhone X (iOS 16.1.1). How can I upgrade to rootless? the switch must be made for the CarBridge app. With rootfull the CarBridge spp cannot be installed.

Yes it's better to restore rootfs. But if you came from latest palera1n but want to go with winra1n 2.0 then it is ok to rejailbreak using winra1n 2.0 straight away as the loader on winra1n 2.0 is the latest one

no issues, if you are rootless, continue with rootless no issues. it is better though to remove the jailbreak first and then use new winra1n as new winra1n uses new palera1n.

Thanks to your guidance, the palera1n jailbreak worked fine until a device reboot. All attempts to reinstall it with and without restorerootfs as well as the old and new version of the installer has failed. Guess the only option I'm left with is device reset and reinstall.
