Some folks in the chat made a big deal about the title of the third track. The title comes from something like an article on agricultural machinery. It pertains to harvesting rapeseed for use as animal feed or oils.

I think Bob has said before that there's a sort of connotation of mans mistreatment/exploitation of the environment to the phrase so that maybe kind of lies up with that. it's kind of like a nightmare vision of tractors tearing up the earth

Robert Pollard is amazing. He has a bunch of solo and side projects as well. The man has released nearly 120 full length records plus a pile of eps. You have opened the door to an entire universe and I encourage you to explore it. It is quite overwhelming at first but we’ll worth the effort. This album is a huge grower too so the fact that you liked it so much on first listen bodes well.

One of the best albums ever. If you get into the habit of re-listening to it you’ll never stop. Same with Alien Lanes. GBV the best indie band. Glad you reacted to them. They have like a billion songs.
