What did you discover? What past/parallel lives did you explore? What did you learn?

I think this may take some practice. But then, I am very tired this evening. I did not experience what you refer to as a "parallel self," as a discrete entity, but (perhaps) a version of myself stripped of many of the worldly concerns that often weight me down, stripped of the individualized world that my consciousness has created from all the infinite possibilities surrounding me; a re-presenting, or framing, of that world according to my own fears, unique sensitivities, and expectations. The feeling was light and airy. I felt at peace. A message came to me that true freedom and oneness come from being able to love without possessing, without the expectation of any quid pro quo, without projection, and in such a way that my own joy and peace is found solely in the other's joy and well-being. This sounds lovely. A tall order, and in stark contradistinction to the ways of loving practiced and portrayed in our popular culture, ways that too often lead to disappointment, cynicism, and loneliness...but absolutely lovely. Can you imagine a world where such a love was the norm? What would that look like? What habits of mind that tend to rule our current culture, and our current way of being in the world, could not coexist with such a love? Dare I even allow myself to imagine? My feet were bare, and they were mine. The door was painted in very pleasant multiple colors. It looked happy, almost like it was alive with happiness. I don't remember much else except the message and that there was a total absence of fear and uneasiness. It was a nice place to spend a few minutes. Thank you.

I’ve always been very frustrated because I don’t have a minds eye, I can’t see anything when I try to visualize with my eyes closed. What I do have is a lot of energy swirling in and around me when I meditate, I get in a very calming and blissful state. What I got from this meditation when I asked my guide my question as too why I don’t see anything was Love is blind.... I don’t know what to do with that info or what it means but it was very powerful and tears where instantly shed. I thank you for this meditation. ❤

Thank you so much for sharing. I too don't visualise anything during meditation. I asked the same question & received "there's no place like home". I'll bring this to daily practice. Apparently aphantasia is the condition of not being able to visually imagine with closed eyes. I'm an artist &, until today, I had not realised that other people actually see pictures when they close their eyes, wow, to say I'm amazed is an understatement!
