Guiding Light (1982) - Closing Recreation

It has been a long time since I haven’t done a closing recreation of Guiding Light. This one is a closing recreation from 1982. I was inspired by Matt Bingel’s closing recreation of Guiding Light from 1983, so that’s why I made this.
AUDIO:
I decided to use a 1983 audio because I couldn’t find a 1982 audio.
NAMES/CREDITS:
I decided to mix up the years 1982 and 1983 by adding the cast from 1983 to a closing recreation from 1982. I did not include the rest of the crew (after the casting section) because I wanted to keep it simple (well, not too simple). Bobby Spaulding is a FANMADE character who unfortunately never existed, and I only added myself and my role as Bobby to this closing recreation for fun.
BACKGROUND:
I couldn’t find a clear version of the background used for Guiding Light’s closings in 1982-86, so, I decided to use that rippling background, I added a little more editing to the background just to give it more brightness and color. Matt Bingel also used that background for his version of the closing recreation for Guiding Light. Credit for the background goes to HDBacks.

PAMELA LONG was NOT the Headwriter in 1982 nor were many of the Actors on this "imagined" Credits on GL then.

I actually love this disco theme so much as it blended the soap theme with the fun disco vibes so much to perfection. I'd say this is their 2nd best theme behind the 1983 one that they replaced the disco one with.

Awesome job! I was only 11 so not watching soaps for about another 4 years, but I would give a right arm to have a dvd set of all episodes from 1981-1985 or so. Would love to go back in time to those days, sigh, pre-covid, 9/11, $5.00 gas, dotards, death of record stores, etc.

Nice!!! Only observation...Pam K. Long Hammer did not take over as head writer until late fall 1983. In 1982, the late great Doug Marland was wrapping his unparalleled reign as head writer to be followed by a disappointing Pat Falken Smith and L. Virginia Browne.

First of all - where is "Dr. Sara McIntyre": portrayed by MILLETTE ALEXANDER - she was on GUIDING LIGHT for all of 1982?!?! Also LONG/KOBE were NOT involved with GL in 1982 - they didn't get involved until some point in 1983. It would be very nice if this was accurate - which it is not.
