Interesting. I'd read that Guiding Light had dethroned General Hospital for a period. I just didn't know the specific time frame. The show was on fire during this era. Pam Long and Gail Kobe worked their magic. Good memories.

Guiding light if briefly was so amazing summer of 84 but trouble ahead in September 1984 the Bauer’s tentpole family was hit hard Hillary Mike Ed Hope who had left early were all written out Ed was replaced but returned 2 years later Peter Simon our Beloved Bert was very sick Charita had lost her family 😢

It's too bad that they couldn't integrate the galahads more into their own stories on the show after the gang disbanded. They were all terrific actors who would have done well with their own storylines.

You don’t. You happened to tape them on VCR and were lucky enough to transfer them to DVD or TT. I’d give my left but for 5 years of GL. 79-85. Okay. 6 years.
