Thank you for more of the Reva and Kyle videos. I was 16 when this story was on. The 80s was my favorite time for GL. Along with Beth and Lujack I loved the Reva and Kyle story while it lasted. Such amazing chemistry between Kim and Larkin. I loved Josh and Reva but I really loved Reva and Kyle. Please share more videos if you have of them. Thank you.

You're welcome! I wish I had more - I keep thinking there has to be someone out there who's also held on to tapes for 35+ years :) While familiar with the 1984 Reva/Josh history, I really started watching GL consistently for the 85/86 Reva/Kyle storyline - for a long time I was annoyed that Josh came back - ha!

I wish! I was 13 during this era of GL and my parents had a strict rule that I could only watch/tape one day a week - which I circumvented often by racing home from the bus stop and recording the last 10 minutes - ha! So I have a lot of random 1-2 scenes from the end of a day. I'm convinced someone has to have a stash of 85/86 episodes - I can't be the only one who's held on to them for 35+ years :)

@@Tennbelle9 lol I'm with you on that!! I keep thinking the same thing. I know someone out there has more of these scenes somewhere! I actually didn't discover this story til actually the whole COVID shut down believe it or not lol. I was a baby when the Kyle/Reva story aired and all I ever knew was Josh and Reva. Which, don't get me wrong, they were the reason I watched. But I never realized how AMAZING this Kyle/Reva story was!!! He truly worshipped and loved her like nobody else ever did. Knowing what I know now, I really wish they had brought him back in the 90's and created a beautiful love triangle story. That would have been amazing!

@@alisonkandrovy I discovered GL the summer of 1984 during the HB/Josh/Reva - Slut of Springfield summer. I stayed with my aunt for a couple weeks and GL was one of her 'stories' :) At that time, Reva & Josh weren't quite the phenomenon they became so when Josh left, I wasn't too concerned because Kyle Sampson soon arrived and he was electric. After spending the better of part of 85 /86 rooting for Kyle & Reva, I was actually annoyed when Josh came back and Kyle was just gone - ha!. But I can see why the story went the way it did - RN came back, KZ was pregnant and LM told producers he didn't want to play another baby storyline (after Maeve/Ben) so he got out of his contract a year early. LM was on AMC from 87-98 according to Wikipedia - would be interesting to know if GL ever tried to woo him back. Would have been far more believable than a clone...or Teri DeMarco...or time travel, but I digress :)

@@Tennbelle9 interesting!!! I never heard that that was why LM left. I thought it was because he was offered the AMC role. If only he stayed!!! The possibilities!!! KZ always speaks fondly of him in interviews and in her book too. True gentleman but very kind and also very serious lol. I believe he was the acting coach for her son Jake as well which I always thought was cool. My mom grew up watching GL from the radio days with her grandmother. I watched it on and off from 4 and up so I remembered certain things like the Cross Creek wedding and def Reva driving off the bridge for sure. Then I watched again religiously every day when I was 10 and Reva came back. My mom died when I was 13 but I kept watching it religiously til it went off the air. My best friend in college also had a history of watching it like I did and that's actually how we became friends. We watched it every day and even watched the finale together. This show is definitely great memories of my childhood! And like I said I loved discovering Kyle. He was like every woman's dream man lol. I agree though, I often think that I wish he had come back in place of the clone story. You know how after Annie "killed" Reva and that plane went down on that island? That could have been treasure moon and Kyle could have been there! Perfect intro for the world's greatest love triangle! LOL! I probably think about this too much! Hahaha

@@Tennbelle9 ​ I have some tapes of them but no idea what’s on them. My cousin & I were obsessed with this storyline & I can’t remember if I gave her tapes to compile back in the 90s. I had about 10 tapes, but can only find 2 & no idea which scenes I have. I had the first Yoder scenes. Don’t have a VCR anymore to figure them out. I’m working on getting one w/my neighbor who is also trying to figure out what’s on old VHS tapes. I hope I can retrieve and upload new footage.
