Wow, I don't know if I'd ever tackle that job but I was able to repair a broken headstock because of your video!

Hey Thanks! I sure appreciate that. I'm just kinda getting started here. I'm not one of those "a video every week" kind of channels, so it'll probably be slow going for a while. But I've been very surprised how much it has picked up in the last month thank to viewers like you.

A lot of people think "The steaming of the neck" refers to the steam you use to loosen the glue joint, but it actually refers to the name of the guy that invented the process. His name was Larry Steam.

Blue marker on the fret is a good idea.

Thanks! I can't take credit for it of course. I've seen many other people do it, but it sure does help me. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

Mazzocco Guitars ever work on Harmony Silvertone guitars before?
@randybrooks79644 жыл бұрын
I was cringing and biting my nails all through that fretboard loosening
@MazzoccoGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you just gotta be cool and patient. Rushing it will only do more damage. Don't ask me how I know. ;)

As far as bolt on necks go, don't forget about Taylor Guitars.
@MazzoccoGuitars3 жыл бұрын
I can't forget about Taylor guitars, no matter how hard I try. lol But yes, Taylor does have a good system. The only problem is that you have to take it to a Taylor certified repair center because they have to use special CNC cut shims in the neck pocket that are not available to the average consumer.

I always feel like I’ve run a cross between a wrestling match and a marathon after steaming off a neck!
@MazzoccoGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Yes! Well, I've never actually done either of those things before, but I can imagine. I knew what I was in for on this one and it didn't disappoint.

All that crying for nothing, Gibson necks are much more difficult to remove.
@MazzoccoGuitars3 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that you've had trouble with Gibson necks. It's just been my experience that they are usually among the easiest to remove, second only to Martin. Guilds have always been difficult for me. But that's just my experience so it's really all I can speak to personally. I'm glad to hear you've had better success with removing Guild necks. Perhaps you could share some tips that would make it easier for next time? Thanks for watching!

@@MazzoccoGuitars overall a good vid, I watched it in full, you did a good job explaining the issues. Was concerned about the pick guard, but no need to fuss right away untill you hit the pot hole. It is only work and a good tech ,as you are can take care of it with no sweat. Peace crag
