I love the M-20 concert size...but i do wish Guild made an OM-20 in their American line-up... love that size guitar!

Absolutely agree, it's a lack don't have the OM/000 Martin contender. They have several m20's in different versions but we need the US 000.

I played the D-120 and was amazed by how good it sounded. Lots of volume plenty of bass to.

Im impressed by the brightness and it seems less compressed than most M topped guitars.

Just bought an OM-120. My main guitar is a Martin but I really wanted a Guild and an all-mahogany (or sapele, as I think mine is) in that 000 or OM size and this fit the bill. I love the appointments, though the fit and finish aren't as perfect as they are on the Martin. But heavily recommended if you're looking for this type of guitar and don't mind that it's an overseas, somewhat mass-produced instrument.
@Lalairu Жыл бұрын
Which Martin do you have? I wish I could have a 00015m, my fav for sure. Overseas models have improved a lot over the years. I am considering the Om120 too, or the Sigma replica of the 00015m. Can't decide :/

I have really been thinking about getting one, debating between it and a 00-15m/000-15m Martin. If Guild made a USA version of the OM-120 I would probably pull the trigger...

My biggest complaint of the Westerly mahogany guitars is the gloss finish, which is why I like the 15-series Martins.

$700 for an all solid mahogany that looks better then the american made taylor and martin all mahogany. Heck of a deal.
@krismcreynolds9842 жыл бұрын
Mmm I don't think it has the looks of the Taylor or the sound of the martin.. when played side by side with a 000 15m martin i guess we will see how good they are.. for 700 tho that's some nice price for sure..

@@krismcreynolds984 A friend of mine has a Martin 000-15M; me being now owner of an OM-120 I can tell you that the price difference is not totally justified. Moreover my friend had a hell of a trouble with his guitar: after 6 months from the purchase the bridge started lifting from the top. He had to mount extra light gauge strings (0.10), which to me sounds foolish speaking of an all solid mahogany small body guitar. He was advised by his professional luthier. The 000-15M has a more mellow, seasoned and woody sound than the OM-120, but it's a bit less versitale to me. However I chose the Guild to "come close" to my friend's Martin in the first place, and that says it all.

Martins are the most overpriced acoustics on the planet, followed by Gibsons. I'd put a Larrivée up against either of those brands any day, and save a nice chunk of change in the process.

No China, look the price. I pay my "Guild om-120" 555 euro included a good bag. This guitar is one of the best for its price range. The American "Guilds" start at around 1700 euros.

Parlor or 00? A parlor is generally considered to be synonymous with a single 0, right?
@Prajnana3 күн бұрын
According to Martin, Parlors are 5 through 1; a Concert is a 0 and Grand Concert is a 00. 000s and OMs have the same body size and shape except that OMs usually have 14 frets to the body and a 25.5" scale length. The Guild M-120 has 14, not 12 frets to the body even though it is called a Concert but it is a shorter scale length. It gets confusing!

I've got an old Guild Mahogany it's got the round back the tag fell out of it I've had it for years and years I don't remember which model it is but my question is why don't you guys ever play some American music that we recognize on those guitars? You know like some old Beatles some old Neil Young some Elvis Buck Owens something that we can recognize? So that we can hear the song Here the guitar and recognize it instead of just some strange chords?
