The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1978 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (right) and a Sennheiser 409 (left) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before or meanwhile the recording of each video. A Line 6 DL4 was used for additional loops and sounds. Overdrive Sounds come from a Nobels ODR-1 and for low drive we used a JHS Morning Glory.
Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. He is professor for jazz/pop guitar and ensemble at the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen. Check him out:

I love mine... Its a 1966 StarfireV in clear, Bigsby delete, same Haggstrum bridge as this. Had it since early 1967... My amp 1966 FenderbVibrolux Reverb with 1 Oxford and 1 Jensen from the dealer new. Beautiful setup you have here, so similar to mine, of over 50 years.

To me it sounds like c lydian, b dorian, a ionian, with som variations in between. Beautifully played!

I have two from this era. Don't be fooled: this is no way a good jazz guitar. But it IS a wonderfull guitar with a lot of punch.
