Untamed is honestly one of the most insane specs out there. When you do a double unleash attack and wreck everything in your path, it just feels good.

or you become an unkillable bruiser as an untamed which is the way I went. pretty stupid when you can outsustain a champion.

Honestly I just cannot quit my ranger since recently coming back. From the excellent damage, ranged/melee options and the power of Soulbeast... I feel like I have everything at my disposal that i'd want. Tack in that I had never tried Mace/Mace before and holy CRAP that combo makes you a near god without ever needing to swap any gear pieces etc. It's been an utter blast.

My only gripe with ranger, is just that most of the weapon skillsets feel bland for me. I would really like to play soulbeast/untamed otherwise.

i like the concept of this type of video, but i feel like you don't go "in depth" enough and this is more of an "overview" which while can be good info i feel like there's more info that should be made known. One of the things that's always bothered me is the disregard for considering playstyle. Like for example, if someone wanted to play Untamed but be at a range, sure the player could use a short bow or a longbow. But not only are Axe's ranged, but are the best option. But if you enjoy doing close combat, and you leveled up making use of the greatsword maybe, might really enjoy soulbeast as it wants to be in close combat. An overview of each of the different "build specs" would be good too.

Here is some mistakes: Ranger has the same base HP as engineer druid can be condition alacrity role, it is hard, but doable you can use your pet as a soulbeast, you don't have to merge. Especially in open word, where you can use the merge mechanic to revive your pet. it has way less CD. untamed need defensive boons?! It has more health, because minor trait, and the elite skill gives stability, resistance and its CD is lowered by hitting. Also has 2 source of Aegis. Pets also don't do more damage. It can do more damage, because you have direct control to all the pet skills, so you may not activate some no-damage skills. Also has 1 grand-master trait, but if you are quickness provider, than you can't select that trait. (And the minor trait do not effect your pet). Ambush skills and hammer works differently, very misleading text. For example, if you want barrier or CC from hammer you have to unleash the pet.

giving him the benefit of the doubt on untamed stab comment id say its aoe stab? for like heal ut maybe, but as it stands untamed has the most sources of self stab, and the same amount of aegis sources as any other ranger spec (as all ranger aegis is core), i cannot tell you how many times in a pug group i've just been able to ignore cc on dps ut while the rest of the group gets knocked back, stunned, etc cause the support forgot to hit their stab/aegis button
