Bloody brilliant, especially when theres nothing i want to do after a long stressful day but to go home an play guild wars, sometimes shut off...sometimes with complete randoms. Theres random strangers and guildies that have been there when feeling down. Also love seeing some familiar faces in this video .

What a lovely video, and such an important cause. I'm sure being able to escape to a place like Tyria has helped lots of people like me who've struggled in the past, but I'm incredibly glad there are also campaigns like these, the goals of which are to normalize talking about one's mental health more openly. Thank you, ANet!

Why normalize narcissism and Peter Pan Syndrome? What good does the do for anyone other than a childish narcissist?

For something with the word "awkward" in the name, this was anything but. Professional, polished, sincere, moving, and the outfit looks nice. If this is the bar for future releases, there's still a future for GW2.

I see a direct correlation between gaming and connecting with other people. Isolation, loneliness and stress are overwhelming in today's communities regardless of who we are or where we come from. Mental health problems are not prejudiced. We can all experience some form of anxiety and fear. Sometimes with tragic outcomes. Connecting with others, even through gaming - may make the difference in one person's life. Thank you , Anet - for recognizing that even more than ever in this year of 2020, we need to connect to each other. To take care of each other. No one can do it alone.

Just wanted to say this is a wonderful initiative and thank you for bringing more attention to mental health. I've isolated myself from my friends and family for 4 years now, and I don't think I can salvage that relationship. But I think someone somewhere out there will take this to heart and reach out to someone.
@crash3205 жыл бұрын
Don't give up. You never know if the relationship is really gone til you try. I have been in a similar situation. The longer the silence the harder it is to take the first step. Try it! You may be surprised how much you have been missed. And how others might be feeling the same way as you. I wish you all the best!

I started to play GW2 because a friend was amazed by its world (both the narrative of missions and the map exploration) but I stayed because the great ''community'' feeling inside the game. I have never experienced such a kind community in a mmorpg. It is very appreciated that all the team put so much effort for doing this and being aware of the mental health. The direction that videogames are taking is, without a doubt, the best for ourselves and the community. Thank you for your hard work!

Exactly.. what got me into the game was how newbie friendly this community is.. I never had problems finding people to either help with boss fights or answering my (sometimes stupid) questions about this game. Lovely

You have no idea how much this touches me. We lost our daughter-in-law, who was a huge guild wars 2 fan, in October to suicide. We had no idea anything was wrong, it was devastating, to say the least. I deal with depression my self and knowing there are people out there who care helps. There will still be that one jerk out there who harasses you, have had this happen in-game, but I've come to realize they don't matter. Thank you so much!

It is amazing to have a game that reaches out to all the emotional aspects of being Human, Charr, Sylvari, Asuran or Norn! I think the "Seize the Awkward" is one more phenomenal way Anet connects all of us into a wonderful mismatched family. I have played several MMORPG's and never have found one that let me play in a way that was gentle to my soul, until Guild Wars 2. The game is made for people to interact without allowing bullying or other unfair frustrations that happen in other games. In other words, the GREATEST thing that separates Guild Wars 2 from all other MMORPG's (in my honest opinion) is that Anet CARES! That is a huge chasm of difference and "Seize the Awkward" is tremendous evidence of that fact. I really liked the "Seize the Awkward" freebie and knew that it had to have something wonderful behind it (and i was right!) because that is who Anet is! So thank you all for this incredible game and and so many happy experiences so that I too can "Seize the Awkward" in a healthy way and I will remember to ask those around me, how they are doing!
