Have to admit when the devs of this game decide to do something, they do it so much better than other MMO’s. I remember seeing stuff about the mount system in this game and how it’s the best of any MMO. Now seeing this alt parking thing with housing, I’m thinking why did the devs in my game not do this. Arena Net you’ve earned yourself a new player!

Honestly, bookshelves for all various collections would be hot. So many lore books that you could have instead of plain filler bookcases.

​​@@Dr.Death8520i totally agree. Half of my inventory slots and is filled with books I want to keep from various achieves (like from building my Legys). A personal library is the only thing that could make this even better, but i think they might add it to this system very soon if it is not already there. Or maybe you need to do an achieve for this as well.. You could even have like folders with your receipes. Anyways, I definatly support the idea if something of this coming!!

@@obsidianchilly There was a "Manage Glyph" option when he used the logging box at 2:40. So my guess is you won't loose any volatile magic or other glyph bonuses, as long as you have them unlocked somehow.

People excepted small plot with a place for home and we got huge bay area with a massive amount of features. ANet knows what "Gameplay first" means. First mounts and now this.

Looks amazing so far. The only thing I've not seen yet which I think would be cool would be different exterior architecture, Canthan house, Ascalonian house etc. I have a feeling these cosmetic reskins might be put in the gemstore. Or if they were able to add new homestead areas to other places of the game would be a nice touch too. I think this is more far fetched but one can hope.

My only wish was that we could pick WHERE in Tyria our Homestead was located, even if it was from a selection of different plots throughout Tyria: e.g., Kryta, Maguuma Jungle, Shiverpeaks, Ascalon, Elona, Cantha, etc.

@@OleksandrProkhorovskyi We don't know if that's the case yet, they could reveal it next week. But yeah, not being able to visit random houses, like you could in Wildstar for example, would be weird, part of the appeal of player housing is creating cool stuff that others can see.

I always say that the perfect world of a housing system for MMORPG would be TESO's variety of house options with the customization capacity present in FFXIV without the monthly fees.

Better than I thought it was going to be, so that is a good sign for the Janthir Wilds expansion. That plus the new spear animations for every class, or profession, plus the beautiful new maps, is enough for me to purchase the expansion. Looking forward to Aug. 20th, and hoping that the lore and story will not disappoint.

@@XOCOLACh yes, I think that could be definitely be possible! What I had in mind when I said teraforming was digging a hole to create a lake and rivers and also Crete mountain. But given that you can create a lighthouse I can totally see you creating jumping puzzles!

@@AATproducer Yes! I was aware it was what you meant XD, hence I said 'pseudo' terraforming! Genshin players used this to create levels at their home instance. But yes it's still hard to make a lake, or to dig down, currently just viable to build upwards (or maybe they can stack the main level instead and leaving gaps for pond/pool items then concealing them to make a believable lake/pond ;-;) Either way, looking forward for ANet to introduce even more features!

Was legit having a chat with ppl about this an hour ago doing dragon bash. Nobody knew an answer and I'm glad that this gives one. Especially if the guild decorations work in it too! Hopefully you can later change where the house is in a future expansion. I like thw wilds but I do miss my Rata home at times.

I didn't expect that player housing will be thought out to this extend. I knew that ArenaNet will deliver. But mount stables, pier and placing in alt characters are a cherry on top. Not to mention that we can allow our friends to decorate our homestead with us.

The game is structured horizontally, you can't "fall behind". You just do what you want and catch up. The advantage is that there is always something going on, as everyone plays at their own pace and others are doing the same :)

The Alts in the Home Instance are soo cool :D I'm just afraid that you have to park them there and wouldn't be able to use them for Alt-Parking at chests/gathering nodes or to get the "well rested" buff anymore ... I really really hope I'm wrong though as I would love to see my alts chilling together - probably just not to the extend of losing a big chunk of my daily income :(

@@DeanCalaway SOTO actually sold the most and saw the most player influx since release. There are investor reports for that. The game is not underperforming in the slightest
