@alexs.881211 жыл бұрын
Very nice storytelling of the lore(played GW1 since the beginning). I wish to add some things: At the Thunderhead Keep, Vizier Khilbron appeared as a ghost and he did not actually saved the heroes, he just aided them "I grant you this boon and the aid of these undead servants". They weren't really usefull because when the waves of mursaat arrived they were to be killed almost instantaneously by their spectral agony.

I've played the original Guild Wars (all three stories and the expansion) but I never knew a lot of these things. Please finish this series!!
@RavenDumron12 жыл бұрын
That was amazing. I always loved how twisted the whole flameseeker prophecies story is, but I also regretted that it was so complicated to comprehend in-game due to some flawed design choices in the actual story telling within the game. I'm not saying it's not there, but you do need either a lot of patience or to look it up on the Internet to really grasp it. Now, this video did an incredible job at making it easy to understand and compelling. Congratulations on that!

Yep, there are a lot of great ironies like that hidden about. Abaddon, god of water, lost his power, but still orchestrated the sinking of Orr. Its like a massive middle finger from him to the other gods.

This is great stuff. One of the reasons I stuck with WoW for so long was because of the stunningly rich lore behind the game. I remember spending hours just paging through wowwiki in order to understand what is going on, what transpired before the game, and even what we can expect to come. Thank you so much for the lore series you've made, and here's to hoping for more!

The Krait, introduced in the Guild Wars: Eye of the North game expansion, were quite different from the Krait found in Guild Wars 2, in that the Krait were avian creatures. The most powerful of them could actually fly, though at a low altitude. They could not swim. Or, at least, were never seen to do so. The Krait were powerful in magic, but relatively few in number, occupying lands dominated by the Quetzel and the Asura, with whom they constantly engaged in guerrilla warfare.

this video is 100% better than the last one. It is easier to follow, you don't halfway reveal something to first time listeners so it keeps the suspense building, and you added a lot of perspective to make it relatable. i'm sorry if I offended you in my comment on the last video, but it was meant as constructive criticism and you apparently took it seriously at least a little by how much of an improvement this video is. I hope you finish the lore series soon because it's all new to me. Great Job

What you do with these catalogues of Tyrian history, not to mention your GW dailys and etc is incredible. I hope that Arena Net sees and acknowledges or rewards your efforts in some way because you deserve it. Perhaps you have a place among their staff in their world building department or at least in their live team to help keep the lore consistent because the things you bring to light (such as discrepancies and so forth) are mind boggling.

I'm so happy to see this is continuing. I don't really enjoy Guild Wars, so playing it just to get the story is very punishing, and as easy as you make it to just watch the whole story as you play it in your solo vid, it's still hours and hours long. These videos wrap everything up much nicer and cleaner, and especially faster.

I had come back to GW1 for HoM reasons but had ascended my character long ago. Thank you so much for this and other lore videos. Well done.

i played the original and still found this video series worthwhile. put me right back in the highlights of the missions and got me more into gw2. good alternative to trying to play through the campaigns again. cuts out the hours of bs while you're lost in a zone trying to figure out how to get around the thing to get over to the place you can see but oh look 20 things, at least 6 of which are healers, hf gl. bonus points if you somehow got one of your henchmen stuck on something and lost them.

There's two GW books so far - Ghosts of Ascalon and Edge of Destiny. There's a third due in 2013. These explain how Dougal Keane ventures into the Ascalon Catacombs with his party to claim the Claw of Khan-Ur, which will hopefully bring peace between Charr and Human. And Edge of Destiny tells the story of how the brand of heroes Destiny's Edge form, and also explains their demise.

This was really good. Even though I played guild wars for many years. This filled in a couple gaps, along with reading the guild wars wiki page. For those that don't know. All three campaigns of Guild Wars 1 (Prophecies/Factions/Nightfall) were all attempts for abbandon to try and wreak havoc onto tyria. He started with Khilbron and failed. Next he released the "Fortune Teller" among the people of Cantha. Her main target being Shiro Tagachi. He then fell into place for Abbadon's plans.
