yeahhhhh I previewed the Tier 2 obsidian and I'm not sure I'm going to do that and if it has as many hoops as you say... probably going to pass on that. The Tier2 doesn't look any different, just has floaty glowy bits... sooooo kinda eh...

@@joyboy6067 I've found out that the new dye channel on the T2 version actually make quite a difference (atleast for the medium armor I'm going for). Also, when you make a T2 piece you also get a slumbering skin that just has the extra dye channel and details but not the shiny runes and in combat animation, if you dislike those.

like i mentioned in the video, eparch mechanics require to move to pick up orbs almost all the time, and being a melee is a painful to deal with, so i switched to the mirage build to have the ability to DPS from range, CC, and teleport to pick orbs faster before boss starts consuming them. "dont pick all orbs"

Tbh it''s been a while already since Anet took a course on making dpscheck golems instead of bosses, there's no mechanic that kills you if you fail it or anything. Just take 5 unkillable celestials healing/barriering each other and don't forget to bring a cup of tea with toasts because well, damage sponges. I honestly have no idea why anyone even plays these strikes and fractals, they are an insult to any gamer who's placed a bit higher than "type password for dps output" in the food chain. The only way to do them is like you do, with random challenges (soloing, or without gear, or without healers etc) because they are not fun by themselves.

I have trouble soloing Eparch at tier 1 and you solo it tier 4... I have such a long road ahead of me. :'D I don't understand how you manage to burn is breakbar so quickly. I'm doing 2350 damage of hard cc on his breakbar it's still not down. I watched attentively your video, and counted 4 ambush dagger from you and your clones (4x4x100) and 1 pistol 5 (1x250) which means 1850 of hard cc (no malice globule effect on you). Is it the soft cc doing, I dont know, maybe 650 damage? Or did I miss something? Anyway, GG, that's freaking impressive.

I would have loved for the T2 armor to grow obsidian shards around it, like a second layer of armor (similar to Eureka but more elegant) But oh well...i'll just get the medium chest piece for now, i like that one at least

The build is the same one I linked in the description the only difference is that I changed Sigil of strength to sigil of absorption to steal the boss boons. The camera settings is normal just make the field view further

I do wish that Anet shakes things up a bit before GW3. because GW2 started great (except for the story/lore, gw1 was way better), but with time the content is getting less and less exciting especially after EoD (again, eod story was a 15yo level writing) eod presented some good things, new area, mount, specs, gear, mechanics, boats, fishing, and other things. Soto on the other hand, I think the only good think was the weapon system, other than that, it's really bad, and the T2 legendary armour is just a pathetic and lazy thing. GW2 is my favourite mmorpg for many years and still, so it saddens me to see this. Anyway, luckily Lord Hizen is one of the good things with gw2, him and some other youtubers are doing better job for the game than Anet. Well done! : )

both mirage and vindi are good but the new fractal boss makes melee fight more stressful, so any range DPS will have an advantage.

Fractals - all of the if you have time and the skill Strikes - none cause they have a timer

for Pugs you usually have a Healer, so you can go full dmg. Cele is more for solo since it increases survivability a lot.

the cele builds that i make are meant for open world or solo play. if you going to join endgame content raids, strikes, or fractals you should bring a group build since there will be a healer, tank and dps support to cover everything for you.

You bug killed the fight? Lame. Not collecting Malice makes the boss hit himself, it applies condis to itself scaling with the amount of entities hit. The clones speed this up, as would necro minions. You can see the effect by the amount of conditions on the boss in this video.

E.g. you'd need ~40k sustained dps for your killtime, without including any blue orbs. Hard to gage, but i'd say with all the movement / build and collecting stuff you maybe did a third of that? Arc sadly doesn't tell, it just adds the extra dmg to players.
