Yay, this video brightened my mood! Didnt watch all the way back then, but maybe around 2012 and forth. Still havent gotten my GWAMM, just takes so long and i only get spontanous urges to hop back into the game. Your intro is iconic, love the back to bay 6 opening. A lot in this video is a throwback to the times i especially hunted that lone survivor on a map, ugh the frustrations of finding it. Happy you are still around and seems to be doing well.

When the triple Discordway came out during the times there was still a 3 hero limit, the game suddenly became so much easier. Little did we know there was an even more OP build on the horizon with E-Surgeway

I don’t think I was even running discordway. I feel like there was another build that was even least hands on that ran 3 necros. I tried to find it years later when I got back into the game but couldn’t find the builds.

I watched the original episodes. Hell, I even got the privilege that my question was included in your "Let's read some mail" segment. It was in "Guide To W/N Raptor Farming HM Guild Wars" video. I was learning English back then and my teacher complimented me for the correct spelling (I was 12 or 13 back then). The amount of nostalgia is huge. "nice videos btw"

Might have been 2008, but also 2010, considering I was a complete utter noob in 2008 and didn't know anything about WASD MMO's, as my first MMO was RuneScape which I started in 2007.

Perfect, I'm finishing up my HoM for Guild Wars 3 personally! Looking forward to them making a true sequel to this game. Some areas can have quest to reduce foe counts, so it is often worth checking the wiki pages for a zone and getting other zone specific tips. There's a guide on the wiki for vanquisher, though it's not as worthwhile an experience as this video, not to mention Doom offers great tips and insights here that aren't on wiki! This might be the most meta and optimal build, but understanding why these builds work so well is all you need to create your own teams to solve the same challenges. There's some people who have completed vanquisher as a solo character without henchmen or heros, so remember strategy can overcome all else I'm happy to watch a Doom Box Guild Wars video, and it was such a nostalgic experience to revisit and see your refined taste reiterating upon what was once perfection. Doom, back in 2008 and on have been THE youtuber to watch. Your content tends to be perfect for the era, and you fill it with a spirit that still matches the spirit of the content you make today. I am a major fan of this video and what you did, fully in support of it. I see a passion in the edits/things you did here. There was a level of refined crudeness. like showing off skills, you just showed the window in game not bothering with some polished slideshow with it all prepared and display, because there wasn't a need and the game provided a better atmosphere. you understand that the art is in what is represented, not how crude the representation is. the rough paint style animations are fun, they don't need to be refined, but sometime you do refine them, and it's pretty dope to see what you do with editing. I think you're ready to make some more Guild Wars 1 videos in what remains of the year until the 20th anniversary. The time to reiterate & better express key experiences of the game might be now. That way when new content releases you're practiced up to show off your ability in a big way

The mesmer + ritualist +dop necro hero build is such a great way to solo guild wars in the modern era. I got back to the game around 2018 and built this team to experience so much of the game I was never able to back in the day. fully geared and optimized it will clear any content in the game. If you're feeling like paying to win as well you can buy a skill unlcok and the mercenary hero slots in the store. All you need to do is create a pvp character and register it as a merc hero and then you can delete the character. this is a super easy way to fill out a party with the exact composition you want.

Seeing this video has me wanting to re-install all my Guild Wars games again. Thanks! I remember the 2008 vids. In fact, I loved the one showing how single play defeat the Destroyers. I can't even remember what the build was, but it made you invincible as long as they kept hitting you. Anyways, it doesn't work anymore, I remember that much, but it worked at the time.

I started on dial-up, didn't know about the download all switch so it took forever when going into uncharted places. For new players you should definitely do that while you're asleep, then when you play you won't have to wait for map updates. Also I figured out way back when if you couldn't afford a super vigor you could use a survivor insignia with a major vigor on the chest and have more HP than if you had the super vigor. Love the videos, thanks for sharing!

On Beyond content: -The only way to get rid of War in Kryta stuff is to beat War in Kryta. -The only way to get rid of Winds of Change stuff is to take a quest called "Memories of Purity" in Kaineng Center, but this requires completion of "Cleansing Morostav Trail."
