A great film and a great subject. Akuzawa Minoru is the real thing, like some master out of the mists of time, he brings ancient truths and mythic power. If you want to feel the real thing, go and meet him.

Great video, would I suggest to you that Japanese training in all forms of martial arts have teachings in moral ethics, behaviour and culture that promotes self regulated discipline where it is definitely important for the day.

I have met him and I can witness he is on to something. Not something you can pick up easily though, a lot of his basic routines seem to really weird to an outsider. (Which I am)

Did he train with Sawai Ken'ichi of Taikiken?

This Sensei blinks every time he issues forth his energy; "fajin" in the Chinese arts. This habit is "suki", or an opening or gap, in Japanese terms.

Could someone explain to me what tanren and teihen mean?
@elel26087 жыл бұрын
sam mullan Tanren is basically forging your body to efficient movement principles. Aiki people would call it building an aiki body. Teihen?
@samm59617 жыл бұрын
Lorel Latorilla thanks. He mentions teihen at about 11:10. "I think tanren is absolutely needed in bujutsu if you want to widen your teihen."
@elel26087 жыл бұрын
sam mullan Ahh okay. I believe it's the word for "base".

@@aikibaby care to explain further the differences between aunkai and systema ? both seems to emphasize relaxedness, no forms or kata, learning body mechanics, sensitivity to energy
@elel26083 жыл бұрын
@@adisaargani836 Aunkai works to achieve an effective and efficient body useful for fighting. One of those requirements is relaxation but it is achieved with postural adjustments. There are no breathing exercises that try to achieve relaxation like Systema does and assumes-if I got the teaching right-that proper breathing is achieved with the proper posture.
