Alix is so older sister coded😭😭 Ashtin uses he/him Alix: “JOHN😏”
@stevielogsdon9228Ай бұрын
I’m 30 years old and wish I had this when I was younger. You both are “cool girls” so to speak and young girls knowing you went through this, and still do, goes a lot further than you may think. Especially for young girls who look up to you. Male validation is, unfortunately, something a lot of us have sought out at one time or another. Pointing out that the boys who get mad at “no” are actually the losers is so important! Thank you for talking about this.

It's sad that so many of these incidents were literally assault and they're so normalized :((( thank y'all for talking about this & I so wish this wasn't a universal experience for women

Loved this! I think the blurry hook up conversation left out how alcohol makes it even hard for women to be able to stand up for themselves, we don’t talk about the risks of alcohol enough

I really enjoyed this topic. Luckily at my high school we had someone come in and educate us on the specific SA laws in my state. I was shocked to find out if you under the influence in any way, not just roofied, you legally can’t give consent.

that "college boy" behavior was normalized because she was in a sorority and around frat boys.... that is their culture. all college boys aren't like that.

i’m not in a sorority & boys in college act like this just out at the bars. they don’t have to be frat boys to act like this. we know not every guy is but most are.

I cannot imagine how many younger girls look up to you both, and this is gonna resonate so strongly with so many of them. Your lil sisters are lucky to have such amazing role models! 🥲🩷

while this sexual assault and hookup conversation is relevant - I think you guys should avoid normalizing hookup culture and wanting 'validation'. like its totally okay to not have sex at all in college. just because you're living alone for the first time doesn't mean you need to do every illicit thing your parents told you not to do. in this episode you guys should emphasize more strongly that you do NOT under ANY circumstances hookup/makeout/ or anything "to get out' of a situation. what you need to do is say no, and you don't need to say it more than once - otherwise it is assault
@user-np8yf8fj2wАй бұрын
they didn’t say you should make out with them they were just describing how situations like these can feel confusing, you feel bad saying no to a guy but you’ve already kissed him etc but the point is you’re still allowed to say no
@amaya9557Ай бұрын
Ashtin literally is discussing a man sexually assaulting her and grabbing her ass and is laughing about it? like idk the energy is vert strange here like almost as though you guys are not fully understanding how fully you were taken advantage of and assaulted in this situation. its not funny at all. maybe nervous laughter but little kids might watch this
@alydiastark4657Ай бұрын
It’s literally a coping mechanism. They did a great job talking about this when it’s clearly hard for both of them to talk about.
@kaitlynlawson2232Ай бұрын
They are talking about their own trauma pls stop telling women how they shouldn’t and shouldn’t react to being assaulted. these girls still have to be around men all the time and “party” for their jobs maybe they are trying to brush it off for their own sake if you don’t like it block them or how about this? Don’t let your kids on the internet idiot

Their message was clear in this episode. Just because people don’t go about it the way you would doesn’t mean they don’t understand what they went through.
