Breathtakingly beautiful. I can't thank you enough for this amazing cover. There were certainly some moments that I teared up (the lyrics were a great addition to the emotional experience). "My Dearest" is most definitely the best anime song, and, if I might add, probably the most passionate. Ryo is the king of sentimental, heartstring-tugging music, and you have most certainly done him justice. Good job on 300,000 subscribers, and here's to everything to come! :)

No, thank you Theishter... Without you, thousands of pianists (including myself) would've never picked up the piano again. Some never would've even started to play. But you know what... We all saw your passion. We saw that you were putting every ounce of effort and passion into your playing, and we were astounded. We said to ourselves, "I want to be like him one day, spreading my emotions to anyone that will listen. I want to be able to express my joy, anger, sadness, and excitement through the piano just like him." So thank you again Theishter, for inspiring so many of us.

+Nuppette Totally not cheesy by the way, and I agree. I had been playing the piano, but because of a bunch of different things, including Your lie in April it sort of inspired me to play more for myself rather than just because my teacher was liek, "PLAY THIS QUIET! This makes me so happy. I subscribed to you way back, probably 5 years ago. I was just a young pianist who was tired of playing classical music and was at the point where I wanted to quit (after about 6 years of playing). I had just begun my weeb phase and listening to the piano in the anime bgm made me wonder if I could play it myself. I found you. And although my little hands couldn't play it completely, I simplified your sheets and played those. Now, I go back, and I can play them, the entire sheet, every single note. Thank you for inspiring me to continue piano and spreading such a wonderful work of art through music. You deserve every last subscriber. ^_^

+Hady Liu Agree with a lot of what you said. I played classical songs 5-6 years but I never had much motivation to practice. Later I discovered piano arrangements of OST from video games, and starting learning songs like N's Farewell and To The Moon and later when I got into anime, I started learning songs from that too, and I found out about how many more great songs there are to play from anime, too. (Shigatsu ftw!)
@ofermossinson29109 жыл бұрын
+OrangeWaffle this sound exactly like my story! 2 years ago I played only what my piano teacher told me to, and then I found To The Moon . I really liked the OST and wanted to learn some parts of it. While looking for piano sheets for "For River" I found this channel thanks of a few random clicks. That's basically how I got Into anime. I also found alot of new amazing songs that I really wanted to learn, but this time instead of looking for piano sheets on the internet I just arranged them from hearing. I'm planning to open an anime piano youtube channel soon because I have ALOT of songs that I learned but I never actually played them to anyone.

Hey I’m 14 years old and my family inherited my great grandparents piano last year. I have always loved the piano and was so exited to learn new songs and become a pianist. However, I quickly realized that the piano is much, much more difficult than it comes off to be. I had just started my weeb phase ( now I’m just an “anime enthusiast”), and was listening to sadness and sorrow when I saw a video from theishter. I discovered the world of anime piano and I have been learning songs and developing technique and practicing lots of songs. I became bored however, because the songs I wanted to play were either too hard, or I didn’t think it was worth it to learn it. And just when I was about to give up on the piano, I saw in the description on unravel from animenz the hardest song he’s transcribed, my dearest. I became intrigued, and listened to his version, and I loved it. I can feel all the emotion and just the essence of what anime is that separates it from just cartoons. I saw this version, and watched it and I cried. I felt the emotions, the power that this song has that separates it from any other I have ever heard. I’m going to try to learn this song, even i it takes me a year or 2 years, because I love it. I have no formal training, nor the music theory knowledge, but I’m good with my hands ig. Anyways, thank you theisher for making these songs, and I hope you keep making music. Sincerely, some kid who loves piano

I use to listen to this when I was in middle school and LOVED it. I would write to it and dream of the stories I would tell in the future. Slowly I fell out of listening to this channel for what ever reason, but always kept this song in the back of my mind. The past year I've been trying to find it but to no avail. I'm writing a short story now, having won writing competitions, with plans to make a career out of storytelling in film and books and go to college. This channel popped up into my recs just now and I thought 'huh, this seems familiar.' I scrolled through the uploads and sure enough, this song is there. If only I could go back in time and tell my younger self to indulge in writing when ever I felt like it. To write and write and love every second and not be ashamed. To be confident in what I liked and shout it loudly to anyone near. I just can't believe how far I've come in only five years, and this song has witnessed it. Thank you Theishter, for providing my younger self, and current self, with inspiration. I'm sure my future self with thank you too. Here's to all us creatives, may we always hold each other up, do what we love, and always be proud. Maybe one crazy day we'll see each other in the field

I quit playing piano about 3 years ago. What had started as a desire to have a skill became a tedious chore. I didn’t want to play anymore. My teacher had told me that I was a Diamond that needed dusting in front of another one of his students. This was while I was having a hard time with practicing. It inspired me for a bit before I just gave up. I still dabble with the piano to be able to keep my skill but hearing this arrangement of this song of which I didn’t even know existed, now I want to play again. So thank you for creating beautiful music and giving me a goal of what I want to become.

Danke.

This is extremely inspiring. Watching your earlier videos and seeing how you've grown, as a pianist, as a video editor... no, as a KZbinr... That really shows what you've become and how you've managed to get so far. A lot of us (not me) have been with you since the beginning. I hope I speak for them in saying that we'll always be with you, behind you, no matter what you do or what happens. Please never stop creating these wonderful videos and do what you love, because it's clear that we also love it as well. In regards to the arrangement, it's very clear that you know how to choose when to include simple segments, and smoothly transition with arps, chords (oh man the diminished chords and walking chord progressions UGH). I don't really want to get into it because I feel that this is really something that should be enjoyed without really thinking about the mechanics; just sitting here, listening to what you've accomplished with the English lyrics right below... That's true bliss. ^^ Also, if no one else transcribes the sheets, I'll do it. But I have a lot on my plate with other contracts so I'd prefer if someone else does it. I'll check back to see how many people randomly upvote this comment to see if it's worth my time, since I'm new to KZbin in general so no one really knows about my transcription skills.

...for the next section like you wanted it to! 4:43-5:07 just absolutely breathtaking. It made me just want to be free of everything and just bust my lungs, screaming in ecstasy because of how beautiful that solo section was (weird way to put it, but whatever. How I felt is what I am describing lol). 5:10-5:24 seemed to conclude the piece into that semi-final transition I think you wanted. 5:25 and on just finalized the piece into one, soul-groping finale. I tried to describe what this piece meant to me in words that truly are what I felt. I'm glad to have found you on KZbin Ishter. I truly would be lost if I hadn't found you. My life would be dull and full of nothingness. This milestone of 300k subs marks a special moment in your career as a KZbinr, and this (updated) full cover of Guilty Crown was possibly the best thing you have transcribed. Ironically enough, it was one of your vocaloid arrangements (Triple Baka) that got me back into piano after quitting for about 7 years. Soon enough I looked into the rest of your covers, and that more or less began my interest in anime piano, eventually leading to me to start my own channel after a year and a half. Man... the soft tones of the verses and the pure power of the choruses are amazing. I really like the simple and strong style in the first part, and the flowing, clear runs of the latter half are fantastic. Wonderful performance, you've really improved!

I like this ver more than Animenz. This one is more calm, Though Animenz might be more complicated but this one just suits the calm and deep lyrics of the song.

Who could ever forget that intro of 0:00-0:14? When it started with that oh-so-nostalgic verse at 0:15, it made me so warm inside...everything that caused stress to me seemed to flow out of me at that point. Pure passion. That's all I felt listening to the intro 0:15-0:38. . . When the unforgettable main chorus happened at 2:21, it made me want to scream out the lyrics of the song; the song brings back so many wonderful memories~ 2:37-2:45 The arpeggios made it sound like you were painting a rainbow of artistic talent. 2:47-53 Dat amazing section you added to balance it was so, um...(I can't describe it. I really can't) XD 2:54 Those smooth left-hand arpeggios were so gentle; it contrasted perfectly with the melody happening in the right; it was like a soft, whispering breeze. 3:46-3:48 Downward arpeggio was 👌. Your Yamaha grand is so rich in sound it really brought out the grandeur of the section starting at 4:15; it was so majestic. That bass buildup at 4:39-4:43 caused that want...

Out of curiosity, how long have you been playing? I'm wondering if it's possible for a beginner who can somewhat comprehend sheets to learn this in a year or so.
@RK.apathetic3 жыл бұрын
@@draaxus2969 it’s more in your muscle memory or... idk what to call it, but practicing individuality with your hands and letting them dance, is the best way to put it. I’ve been playing for a while, yes, comprehending sheets is important but, the hand technique and the, emotion you put into it counts. If that makes sense... 4 years to answer. I have a long way to go, but I have faith in you boss.

I've been practicing very hard for the last 3 days and I can finally play up to where the lyrics start. Your transcriptions are why I am learning the piano. It isnt hard or impossible, its just a lot of work, but boy does it pay off when you get that certain chord combination off and feel that moment of bliss, stand up, and say to yourself "Im done here." (Then proceed to come back an hour later and find you need to work on that area again... ugh.)

@blloopy76317 жыл бұрын
Ethan Paul Cataritas ok. I agree about you saying about the haters part but saying that theisther's transcription of My Dearest is better than Animenz's one is going a little bit too far. Music is subjective, which means some people prefer theisther's version, some prefer Animenz's one (for me is theisther's one, although I also do like Animenz's version). So don't go around saying that theisther's version of My Dearest is better than Animenz transcription, because some people may get triggered by your childish attitude (not saying that you are childish but... you know)
@pathfinder0187 жыл бұрын
lol I understand. There are just those who doesn't like the fact that this is better than Animenz's, but what I meant is that they believed it was better and they won't accept it. Like you said, we have our own preferences but sometimes there are people who are just too much of a fan to one player and dislike the other who they believe is annoying/better/showy or became an obstacle to their favorite player if that's what they viewed it as. Although both Theishter and Animenz are good buddies, there are fans that won't agree to that terms and would do such thing as disliking or out of pride or such.

I'd still like to tell you. Thank you for all the work you've done Theishter . Your arrangement inspired me a lot. You're the one who inspired me to be Anime Pianist. My arrangements might sound similar to yours ( if you watch my Theme of SSS and Dear you). Speaking of Dear you, whenever I listened to your version of Dear You, I always go back and improvise my arrangement again and again hoping it will sound like your version. Now I am arranging Triple Baka (mostly from your style). Sadly, I have to prepare myself for University Entrance Exam, so I don't have time for recording the songs. Anyway, thanks for reading this and Good luck ! Congrats with your 300k subscribers too. Greetings from Thailand !! P.S. Sorry for bad English Grammar.
