Guilty verdicts read in Eric Boyd trial for kidnapping, rape & murder of Christian and Newsom

The jury found Eric Boyd guilty of 36 charges in the deaths of Chris Newsom, 23, and Channon Christian, 21, in January 2007. He was found guilty on all charges including kidnapping, rape and murder. He was found guilty on lesser charges on two counts, with the jury finding him not guilty of especially aggravated robbery but instead guilty on aggravated robbery.

@rayamoroso126 he was convicted of being an accomplice to murder and has been in prison since then. he would have been eligible for release in 2022, but a grand jury brought new charges against him and one of the other perpetrators agreed to testify against him.

@rayamoroso126 the judge during the first trials for all them was disbarred and found to be under the influence of drugs during the trial. That judge basically screwed up and all the cases he presided over during his drug use had to be retried. So there had to be new trials for all of the ones involved in this crime. This guy still ended up with the same conviction and is on death row now, where he belongs.

When Boyd is strapped to the table in the death chamber and put down like the monster he is, then justice will be done in the case of Mr. Boyd. He participated in the most horrific double torture, rape, and murder of a couple of college sweethearts, ending there lives when they were just entering their prime. A parent's worse nightmare! It took 12 years to try this creep. He deserves the death penalty and nothing less! Just wondering how you're doing now, 4 months later? I first discovered this case about 8 years ago and I still think of it often. All I ever watch/read is true crime stories. I've seen some really twisted crap over the past 30 years of being interested in this stuff. But no other case has affected me like this one has. It just will not leave my thoughts! I knew a boy 16, I was friends with his mom he and his friends was hanging out with this 40 year old man he was buying them shoes, smokes, and McDonalds all the time, he drugged them up and buried them alive in his basement and the sick part was he was in jail for another murder before that and they let him out! I have been following this story on Channon Christian & Chris Newsom since 2009 and that's way to long!! Do I need to get a petition going to give him and whoever helped to get the death sentence and the others life in prison with no parole? Because I will if you are all going to go back and forth not knowing what to do!
