The WR room is more experienced at catching shorter and midrange catches than Deep balls. Palmer, QJ, Davis, McKonkey have been successful at short and intermediate passes. Maybe DJ Chark and Simi fehoko have been more of deep Ball threats.

I have to vehemently disagree with Tyler on his comment about Shane Steichen's "overrated" offense. He had rookie Herbet in peak form with a less than ideal Oline. Steichen was a legit OC, that truth be told, Staley should have kept. His innovative concepts & schemes rival those of Ben Johnson. Not sure why Tyler decided to take a shot here.

I mean that fans overrate the offense in a bit of a glorified way. It did not have the basic easy passing game stuff down and it lowered the floor of the offense en route to some awful games. Steichen likely should have been kept, but he never becomes the OC/Play caller he is today without Philadelphia

Keep in mind it was only Herbert’s first year, and Steichen had to flip his entire offense around at the drop of a dime to match Herbert’s skill sets due to the Tyrod injury. Imagine what he could have had that offense looking like with a full offseason to construct. As great as Herbert’s 2021 season was, it without a doubt would have been better statistically. And when he left what happened, he had Jalen playing as the best QB in the SuperBowl despite the loss, and had the Colts in playoff contention last year with a roster that was put together by sticks & gum. You will NEVER convince me that Lombardi was better than Steichen.

Herbert’s best season as a pro is 2021 and it’s not even remotely close.

I really think Eboigbe is an underrated pass rushing IDL. dude had 7 sacks in the SEC last year. One man’s “tweener” is another man’s “versatile” ⚡️⚡️⚡️

@@guiltyascharged7752 I’m not sure if it would technically be called a nascar package or not, but on 3rd and long for them to be able to put Tuli, Mack, Bosa, DuPree, Fox and Eboigbe on the LOS and turn them loose is something i really want to see.

I also really disagree on the Steichen offense, he was easily the best OC.

He may have become the better play caller but my point is he objectively did not produce a better offense. 14th in EPA/Play, 20th in dropback success rate, 27th in rushing success rate, 24th in points per drive, 21st in points per game, etc.
