One of the things I really appreciate about your videos, is how supportive everyone is of each other. Not just at the end, but throughout the entire job, always backing each other up with complements. I've worked for tyrants in the past, and having someone bark at you and not appreciate your work, just makes the day twice as long and honestly puts everyone on edge. Having a calm and constructive crew makes everything run smoother. Great job, guys!

Hey you often say that you don't film all your jobs and I'm here to say and I think I speak for most fans that we want you to film all the jobs that you can, don't think because it'll be boring or something, trust me nothing you're doing is boring and I love watching All videos whether they are "exciting" or "boring", to me and many fans there are no "Boring" videos so film them if possible. Love your Story and your Channel, I live in SW Missouri smack dab in the middle of the Ozarks and if I ever need one of my Black Walnut trees cut on my property I'm having you come and do it. Also the video's with Randy are the Best! Love you Randy! The Banter between you and him, aww I could listen to you guys talk and joke about anything and everything and at the same time communicating perfectly to each other what they are about to do on the job, you guys are Awesome and always get me laughing my ass off. Love you guys! -Hyrum

Thank you for teaching a career that can lead to a lifetime job. An acquaintance in San Diego owns a tree service and can't find or keep help. Too many of San Diego's entitled kids won't do anything that messes up their hair, gets their hands dirty or they sweat. I just retired vocational teaching after 50 years on the military, university, high school and middle school levels, I can substantiate that last comment.. There are kids that want to work!!!!!!

Im more of a mechanic than a tree guy so i saw something i had some input on. At around the 33 minute mark i could see your chipper was movin the tree top and it looked like your truck was in park with no chocks or e brake applied. I could see the truck movin back and forth with the surge of the chipper. Might want to chock or apply e brake to keep from havin driveline wear on your truck like u joints, rear differentials, or transmission issues. Love the videos!
@artillerest43rdva7Ай бұрын
that was amazing how you got them down with out any issues! you saved the trunks as requested, got it all cleaned up and done in a day! you got it all done with out any one being hurt. and a great crane operator makes such a difference! the two teams made a great team to remove trees!

We have had those Sena's come off the mount several times, have found them every time, to my amazement. I jam a little wood wedge into the latch to keep it spread but sometimes that falls out. Great technology, the hardware not so great.

To all crews Love the comradery! Love the team work. Jake you could not ask for two better guys on your team. in the middle of this vlog i was getting the sense things were moving uncomfortably to fast. minutes after that. I think Peter said it "Complacency" oh boy did that ring home. As a team you should never get complacent. I know watching the 1/2 half i truly was getting nervy. No one Hurt nothing broken, no tree wrecking ball stuff. Meet before you start, always talk about not getting complacent. I know you have lost a couple od legends in the past few years. I bet Complacency had a lot to do with it. Super man we are not! Bad ass crews stay alive. Keep watching everyone's back. Been a viewer 6 month before the crane accident. Been watching Jake mature a lot. as long as I'm breathing you'll have a loyal subscriber. I truly enjoy the journey. keep yer batteries charge, and the cameras rolling. looking forward to your next adventure.

Jake at 33:14 you can see the truck rocking back and forth when the chipper is feeding that big top in. You might want to get in the habit of setting the parking brake in those situations to save all that abuse on the transmission's parking pawl.

I used to always tell Apprentices to stay out from under hoisted loads, but to be honest, they tend to be paranoid as heck and stay as far away from the load as possible. It's the Journeymen and Foremen who have been working 20-25 years who are totally jaded and tend to walk under loads. They're super comfortable around hoisted loads and aren't always as cautious as they should be, so we have to address that at every pre-pick safety meeting.

I’ve been wanting to say this for a good while, but I’m such a novice when it comes to saws I have no knowledge with which to make a critique but, the Stihl saws sound so solid while the Husky saws almost sound like toys. I have no idea what makes this difference, but I can always tell when you start a Stihl or a Husky. Love your channel and comments along the way and how you guys work so well together. Congrats Jacob on good hiring skills. I hope your business keeps growing and growing. The only thing I can compare this to is loading ships as a Stevedore. The gangs were 17-man crew to a hold, sometimes 5 to 7 gangs to a ship. We called it a harmonic rhythm when the winchmen all picked up at the same time, we would get the ship rocking and rolling to watch the Coast Guard go nuts. We were loading ammunition so needless to say we were tight as a group. Operating a 25-ton Derrick was awesome, safety meetings all the time. Take care.
