Guinea pigs eat their own little beans (poop) every now and then which is totally normal. This is almost invariably the case when a pig reaches out for its butt with its tiny mouth and assumes the shape of a fur ball. Afterwards it chews its poop.

Awwwe, she likes you, she's grooming you. Some people don't believe that's affection, but I've had guinea pigs for many years, and I think it is a response they have to people they like. They will not lick and groom everyone. Some piggies are more affectionate than others. I do not think it is our salt, they are not salt lickers and they are extremely fussy about only their food, meaning they love only their food, so smells of human food is not appealing to them--except the limited fruit and veggies they do eat. Piggies are fearful as prey animals so they will not do anything willingly they don't want to by choice, their licking is something they want to do if they do it and they will not lick you if they don't want to.

"studying" with a guinea pig is VERY DIFFICULT. (especially if one has the slightest ADHD). Forget chapter tests, it's PIGGIE PLAYTIME! and...what subject was I reading? Oh never mind, my guinea pig ate my homework.

My guinea pig's favorite thing to eat in the whole world is the blue edge of those pads. She's obsessed as soon as she sees it, maybe because I try to keep her away from them. She also wiggles around when I have her out on one of those pads and manages to get her butt just barely far enough off of the pad to miss the pad when she pees. She couldn't be closer to peeing on it and still miss. 🙄 I'm always amazed when I see videos of people's guinea pigs sitting still for 10 seconds, mine's too wild for that. 🙃
