The most dominoes toppled in a 3D pyramid was 13,486, achieved by Sinners Domino Entertainment (Germany) at the Wilhelm-Lückert-Gymnasium in Büdingen, Germany, on 6 July 2012.
This is the biggest 3D Domino Pyramid (27x27) build with dominoes in standard dimensions and weight, bigger ones were not built with these.

That's one of the fastest increases I can think of, but some others are explosions, frogs in blenders, swatting a mosquito, a child's room, tornadoes, head shots, and swallowing a primed detonator.
