the whining noise is because of the amount of frames it renders. If it renders too much frames it starts that noise, this is specially noticable in indie games when they dont cap the menu screen and gpus can easily render the simple menu in massive framerates

How'd you spend $5000 on a pc with a 5800x, 32 gb of ram and an RTX 3080? I have similar specs in my system, and the total amount of money I spent on it was around $2700. (It should be around $2000 but I got an $800 3060 during the height of the GPU shortage, very bad decision on my part.)

Turn on like VSync or lower framerate and not unlimited bc ur just using ur graphics card too much, flexing fps is a thing you would use as an excuse but no one cares. Use a responsible framerate that is needed for the videos, not one to flex your 1500 fps that doesn’t change a thing about what you see or what we see. GL anyways

minecraft is a cpu intensive game unless your using shaders. you could run a 1050 ti with the same cpu and it would get similar fps in something like 1.8.9. God why is everyone so dumb

u should cap ur fps bc ur monitor only has a 144-240 hz refresh rate, so u cant see more than that anyway. It also puts less load on ur gpu

Same happened to me, but with a 4060. I was casually playing minecraft singleplayer, when it just turned off and the same thing happened what did to guiny. I swapped my 4060 for my old gtx 750 ti, and my pc came back to life. Now i am stuck with this gtx for the next week or so 🫠

1200 for a 3080? For 700 you could get the same performance from rx 6900 xt. Or for a similar price(probably even lower), you could get rx 7900 xtx or rtx 4080. These has better performance. Yours is just overpriced.

same for me bro i got an new Radeon Graphics card and CS:GO was running fine pc building simulator 2 was running fine up until i played minecraft with mods and then some seconds later a dark purple and light purple strips appeared and when i turned it on surprise surprise it wasn't booting up to windows the windows loading will come up and then next is just a black screen and my father tired to format but i had my old graphics card which is an GTX 650 Ti from Zotac when the windows 7 format screen came up the screens were distorted and i jumped in excitement and then my dad swaped the card and it is now working and i now have an GTX 1050 Ti OC edition from Zotac

I think that happened, cuz you had a lot of fps, if you cap it to your monitor's screen refresh rate (just turn on vsync), you won't see a difference (other than seeing your fps counter being a high number). I think everybody should enable vsync if a game supports it, it makes your game look smooth, and don't have these weird vertical lines and stuff. I hope that your graphics card won't be damaged another time.
