I have got a thinline G&L Tele with humbucker up front and single coil in the bridge. Its a blast to play.... Last week i bought a Squire Telecaster Deluxe Classic vibe. And man thats my go to guitar for Rock and blues.😊

When the Squiers first came in the 80ties, they where just as good as Us Fenders, then after Fender bought them up the quality was taking a nose dive, but for the last few years they really upped their game on these guitars again, the Classic vibes are very nice, even though the woods hardware electronics pickups and tuners, isn't as good as the Us counterpart, they are still beautifully made, the workmanship are very good.

I believe they are called Wide Range humbuckers because they have more range, especially in the TREBLE frequencies than other humbuckers (Gibson) of the era.

Thanks for the input. That sounds like a fair summary. I guess they were looking to make the humbucker more versatile when they come up with the idea.

They're normal humbuckers inside the WR cover. The Vintera versions sound distinctly different. Some folks rewind them as is and replace the bar magnet with Alnico 2s, some winders go all the way with bobbins like the originals and magnetic pole pieces. The thick poly finish isn't that far off from the 70s originals when poly was relatively recent.

Thanks for the input. That's interesting to know. Especially regarding the poly lacquer. One could feel a little cheated that they're putting normal buckers in and labelling them as widerange!

Hi guys, I really enjoyed your show and your friend with the beginning playing sounded so good that I'm finally sold on that Squier. I was always attracted to the beauty of the guitar but now I know how beautiful it sounds too. The Yamaha Nexstar Standard or Element was the runner-up which sounds fantastic also. Yeah your show is different than the average videos. By the way I bought a 2019 Squier classic vibe stratocaster '60's for my first guitar and didn't disappoint. See you on the next one. Peace 🕊️
