From melodies of the Middle Ages to present-day art music, Another Night On Earth will highlight the guitar's sonic diversity!
The festival moves to downtown Salt Lake City’s Maurice Abravanel Hall on Friday and Saturday.
- Purchase an Afternoon Class Pass for $20 ($10 for students and under-30s!) and drop in at any-or all!-of our five classes.
- More than a dozen guitar gear vendors will be on site from 11am to 7pm to demo and sell amps, axes, and so much more!
- For the mainstage weekend concerts, seven sensational electric and acoustic guitarists take their moment in the spotlight with the symphony for arrangements of music by The Beatles and Frank Zappa , and works with influences from the Renaissance to rock.
No guitar celebration would be complete without Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, the most famous guitar concerto there is (you’ll recognize it immediately!)-and it’s performed by the South Korean guitarist and DJ so talented she only needs one name, Jiji. Everyone on stage synthesizes their talent in a fantastic Frank Zappa finale!
