I need lessons like this. i'm 62 years old and have 62 year old stiff joints. I would still like to continue playing guitar using beautiful chords. These are easy on my fingers and sound lovely. Please share some more you tube videos like easy barre chord cheats and easy open power chord cheats.

I really liked this video. The key of G is my favorite, and I'm always thinking to get better I have to get more complex, I never thought of actually simplifying things. This video is so helpful, I really like the Bm variation, and the simply change to Cadd9 and Em7 is fun. Dsus2 has always been one of my favorites, cool to see it made you list.

Please do more of these in other common keys! I am 68 and arthritis has really put me out of commission on guitar. I play on baritone uke and have a custom 4 string electric DGBE. After watching this video I dragged out my guitar and could get these fingerings. Thank you for that! please do more I am sure there are others out there with fingers that need and oil can like the tin man did.

Great video man.. I've been subscribed a bit.. I love these cheat sheet series, but to be honest they sound better plus easier fingerings and I've been a noodler for a while and find barre chords harder with smaller hands and wrists.. Maybe make a video on that, that would be helpful for me and probably others.. I saved the other cheat sheets as they're really helpful and sound cool... Peace

mrjoey94 personally, I have not found the magical tuning he is talking about, but I did get a Spider Capo that allows me to use just two fingers to play at least 3 chords, which is enough to play most songs. It can be placed in different positions on the guitar for other chords too.

Play mostly by ear (right side of my brain- haha) but every time I see your videos, I recognize many of the tricks but I love the way you explain it so that I actually know what I'm doing (left brain- haha) when I do these tricks. You know the D chord was the first one I ever learned back when I was a 13 year old teenager in 1970 or 71 because it was the first chord in Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Bad Moon Rising". I did not find that chord hard to form at all--it was all the ones that came after it! Ha, ha! I just could NOT get my hand to change shapes without going so slow it was ridiculous. That and my old acoustic guitar had such a high action I thought my fingers were going to get sliced to the bone. I did not even know what a high action was at the time, I only knew that stupid guitar was utterly impossible to play and so I gave up. My dad was not going to buy me a different guitar because there were five kids in the family and spare money for another guitar was completely insane to parents who grew up during the Great Depression and WW 2 on the prairies. "Not going to happen!" and that was that. So here I am at the age of 59 starting all over on this project. I am not making great progress because I am sick with chronic pain a lot of the time and you really have to be playing everyday to toughen up your finger tips. But we won't give up so easily this time and my Squier Strat has a much lower action and is infinitely easier to play than that archaic old f-hole arch top from sometime in the 1940s or 50s.

Challenge...... Hello 👋 I’m currently trying to learn to play but there is a big problem I’m dealing with 2 years ago I cut off my pointer finger on my left hand I have found it nearly impossible to play due to how many notes require that finger could you do a video that could teach people like me a way to play. Iv seen videos where people play with 3 fingers but none with someone missing there pointer finger. Thank you for reading

No matter how I try I can't get my fingers to configure into chords. Not only do I have very small fingers, the joints are such that they don't bend at the tips. This two finger method at least gives me some means to strum a few songs, which is all I can really hope to manage.
