Well thank you so much! Was a fun video to make and lots of fun to play too!

First wiring was OK... if not, you must always press the button to sound ... I made it on all my guitars, first wiring was good. Killswitch must kill when is pressed and sound when you don't press the button. For me the best ones are the arcade buttons... they are just amazing

Yeah, lots of fun. Second method works for some styles, but I would agree that it is not as useful.

Could you wire it so that it's normally off until you flip a switch and then it's normally on? I mean switch it from one mode to the other without replacing the button.

Hi Jay - thanks for the comment. I think it is possible, and something I've been considering for a while. However, I think it will require a different type of button or maybe even a second button setup. Hopefully I can do a video on that at some point, but so many other projects to work on, ha!

Is there a way to hook up a toggle that would make the killswitch function either way?
@cookedaudio8 ай бұрын
It's something I've thought about, but I haven't implemented it yet. Thanks for the encouragement to get to it. Hopefully soon!

What does the Dual Mode kill switch do that the single mode kill switch can't do?

The video shows how to hook it up for normally on or normally off

I believe you mean rage on behalf of the machine

Does Todd Morello play for them?

If you have a killswitch, you just need to move the finger on top of it.... Like... Yeah, ok

Thanks for the comment I suppose.

What are those RED Snaps/wire ties to connect wires called? I didn't know Tom Morello used a "reverse wired Killswitch"
@Ottophil9 ай бұрын
He doesnt. He uses neck pickup instead of bridge

They are JST connectors. Working on something exciting using them that I'll put out in a WIP video. Thanks for watching! -JC
@waynegram89079 ай бұрын
@@cookedaudio It looks like the JST connectors have PreWired attached to them so you don't only use the JST connectors with any wires? Try to make a video lesson about using JST connectors with ANY wire type
@cookedaudio9 ай бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. There are crimp connectors that you can use to make your own. This video shows the process for the inner connectors: kzbin.info/www/bejne/omHVcniGf9SKm6c - you then have to push it into the plastic part I believe. Haven't tried it in this scenario, but crimping tends to be a bit fiddly in my experience.
@waynegram89079 ай бұрын
@@cookedaudio Yes I didn't see you use the crimping tool to make the JST connectors to be attached to any wire in the guitar cavity
