Hi! My name is Amy Mantis. I play guitar, write and sing songs for my band, Amy Mantis and the Space Between, but I also practice maximum enthusiasm for all things guitar/music. And teaching is atop that list.
I hope you find this lesson to be helpful and inspiring.
Thank you for watching!
Yours in music,
Amy

Good effort Amy,, typical of Eric this man can make complex riffs look so simple till you try them yourself, noticed just the other day when he played this live, he and his rythem guitarist changed roles, i.e. Eric played rythem and the rythem guitarist quietly played the lead in the background, then changing roles back when the lead guitar solo parts needed to come to the front, really clever to keep the song sounding strong throughout, and no! I don't think this is cheating, it's call being a world renowned professioal artist.

Thanks! Eric is a master of making complex things sound easy. And he’s also a master of making easy things sound complex.

Hi Amy Thanks for the lesson! I like it when you point out the scales he is using it’s very helpful , thanks. Can you do a lesson on “hello old friend “ by Clapton ,the lead part. Thanks Sean

You're welcome, Sean! I'm glad you found it helpful! And absolutely. I'm gonna use the live take from the Slow Hand 35th Anniversary album as the original version of the song features a pedal steel guitar for all those tasty lead lines. The theory will be the same though :)
