Not to nitpick or start a fight, but on the album version there are at least two electric guitars audible. My theory is that both Barrett and Gilmour contributed lead guitar to this song. Barrett would be the one with the duck-like wah wah sound (similar to his tone on PF-Apples and Oranges); Gilmour playing with a cleaner tone, maybe with a slide. Gilmour claims to have played most of the instruments. Wikipedia has changed its story a few times. But if I'm right, this would be a very rare and excellent recording of both of them playing. Yeah, Gilmour definitely added his parts to the album Barrett. He and the session guys had to smooth out and provide stability to some of Syd's more erratic yet brilliant performances. Thanks for the comment!

Dave at the time was not half the guitar player Syd was so I doubt it and as an artist I doubt he would let an outsider ruin his song . gilmour was only there to push record and stop very minimal in the production duce. the only thing he did was add some bass and drums to some songs he never added guitar for it would ruined Barrett's musical style. gilmour at the time was learniy from Barrett cause all he knew at time was standard blues. and he was not a slide player so don't talk shit and say gilmour played the slide solo Syd trade mark playing was slide guitar. gilmour was not a slide player
