Thank you to everyone for the kind words for us all! So many great players, im proud to be amongst such great company. Also, a HUGE shoutout to Max! He's a killer guitarist himself, and this contest? Man I was content being in the top 5. When he announced more prizes? Me and my wife both screamed in joy! Gus G is my literal idol, hence why I rock the star shape!! I must admit that I truly thought that Jake Popowski nailed everything, from a solo that matched the track, clear technical ability (without struggle and flawless performance), serious stage performance energy brought to the table (I was seriously entertained) and a wardrobe fit for a king, because Captain Crunch rocks. If Jake see's this.... You're the man, I loved every second! Congrats on a top notch performance! Wow, Max, what a great contest. My congrats to all the winners, because they ALL are winners in my eyes. Some truly great solos, beautiful melodies and some good, old fashioned shredding. So difficult to pick just one, so there's one thing I don't envy about you, Max; having to go through all the entries and whittle it down to just one. Great job to all the entrants, and to Max for putting in the time to do this and for being so generous with the prizes! I must admit it was great seeing some "elder statesmen" shredding like it was 1986 all over again! 👍🤘🎸

My absolute favorite channel on KZbin. I don’t play shred guitar and I record all kinds of musicians and songwriters from metalcore to hip hop and soul. Max is the kindest most genuine person I’ve seen and it makes me smile and I feel encouraged to be a better person every time I watch. Thank you for being who you are and for doing what you do.

I personally loved Jake Popowski's solo the most. To me, it fit the best over the backing track, very riffy. I thought Mike Zimmerman's was really cool too, very spacey. They were all great and certainly miles better than anything I could have fumbled together, so who am I to judge?
