What NI have done with Guitar Rig is work on projects that the developers are interested in. Omitting the improvements the customers actually want. The customers want all the legacy amps upgraded to the new engine. Only the newer amps sound close to decent, the rest sound like 10+ year old digital models, which is what they are

Guitar Rig has been left behind by competition. You should definitely integrate NAM (open source, Neural amp modeler) tech and compatibility to your suite to revive it, as fx are good. Tonocracy (Atomic Amp) and Genome (Two Notes) did it with huge success.

Out of all the big name plugins for Guitar, this one seems to me to be the most serious, has the best sounding (and most useful) patches. Even has some Softube options as well which is Great! Would like it if it were less than $99 to update for existing Guitar Rig owners, but if it is part of Komplete 15 then it's all worth it IMHO, and worth the wait to update too.

Looks cool, wondering how guitar rig 7 compares against other setups, i use a line 6 pod go and for those who dont know its a multi fx processor pedal with a single multufx/amps/cab ir's signal chain which is part of the line 6 helix family, but lacks processing power, but has some great tones, and unless you have helix gear or helix native, which like guitar rig 7 does, pod go cant split the chain and back into one again, but i like this how it splits the signal chain to allow for more fx in either parallel or series, also considering the price of helix native im wondering if this is the better option, how does ut really fair up against others like it? and if this is as good as it sounds from the handful of good tones displayed here and the last vid which were the same tones im thinking there might not be much presets, or then again can you get preset packs that will download and paste to guitar rig 7 that will allow you to sound, tonally, like your favourite guitarist's? im wondering even more if i could use the pod go to process the signal chain externally, save some pc processing power and use the tools in guitar rig 7 and if i can do that in post or pre either way like pod go in post after the guotar rig 7 live? Obviously you can record your guotar and then use your say scarlett 4i4 3rd gen Audio interface in the capacity as an fx loopt to the track now if thats possible im really interested! Id love to hear your feedback on any of my thoughts here. Cheers 👍 great demo btw!

After years of great GR 5 for that time we've got 6 and 7 in a few, but the results are not good as competitors... Just clean tones can be saved. For distortion NI should reach same results of Tonex, Amplitube, Amp Room, McRocklin Suite, Neural plugins

@@KZbinlongvideos There are plenty of video resources here on KZbin that will show you what you need to get this working. You can probably get to record some audio in the way you described, but it will be far from ideal. I will suggest you to get a usb interface to connect your guitar directly to your computer. Then get familiar with your DAW (Audacity) and how to run VST plugins within your DAWs audio channels. Once you have those steps completed, recording will become a trivial task (hit record) within your DAW.

Year ago I bought a Komplete Audio 6 and it came with Cubase 9.5LE and Guitar Rig 5 (the trial truncated version). I got a great sound out of that guitar rig. I just upgraded to Cubase 13 pro and I can't use the free Guitar Rig 5 with it. No problem, Cubase comes with something similar called VST Amp Rack. You can choose pre effects, amps, cabs, post effects, and even change the mics and their position. Here's the thing though, they all sound like shit. I've tried endless combinations of different heads, speakers, effects, mic placement, you name it. It all sounds like fucking garbage to me. So I thought maybe I need to pay to upgrade to the new Guitar Rig, but all of the distortion effects showcased in this video also sound like shit, and sound very similar to VST Amp Rack. Before I spend $200 I don't have on a program I'm going to hate, can anyone tell me if they got a good sound out of Guitar Rig 7 pro that doesn't sound like your dad's classic rock garage band? I'm looking for some contemporary-sounding distortion like Free Throw, Mom Jeans., Origami Angel, Sorority Noise, or even older acts like Taking Back Sunday or Brand New. I cannot for the life of me find a single effect that sounds anywhere near as good as the free version of Guitar Rig 5. Any tips?
