Which he wisely did not . He asked, he was denied. He never got any ID or identity to steal. Not to mention identification and identity are hardly the same thing. I know, they both start with an i so they must mean the same thing right ? And an identification card has information about a person so it must be their fucking identity right ? Face, meet Palm. Not identity theft unless he uses the information on the identification card to assume that person's identity in a way that would leave him liable for something criminal or monetary. They were interested in certain items like power tools, bikes and some music gear and seemed legit...... But....a couple of weeks later, the store was ripped off. Most of the items those kids showed interest in had been gathered and stolen.....just coincidence? No. They were later caught red handed with the gear. The same guys who had been 'filming' were actually casing the shop out for their raid. You can't assume anyrhing. The owner might have had a similar experience. Just saying.

Love hunting for guitars. Getting harder to find a great deal since everyone Google's the value now.

The thing about pawn shops is they often will get a good enough deal on stuff and if it lingers around, they will get the itch to just unload it at a modest profit, then you're good. Who wants to deal with ebay or Reverb returns or fees or boxing shit up and driving to and from the Fed Ex store?
@bulldogtonyyt11164 жыл бұрын
I agree with The Guitologist, wait (if possible), bide your time so to speak, they will eventually get tired of sitting on, and you might be able to get more than a few bucks off that nice guitar you been looking at for 6 months at the pawn shop! Not much chance at my local shop, guitars usually don't stay that long here, and very few real nice guitars as well! 🤷

Tell that to the guy I bought a 70s epiphone Wilshire for 25 bucks. Best guitar I bought.

If you look hard enough ,you can still get lucky -- my 90 year old father, a real flea market - garage sale veteran found a78 Les Paul custom "black beauty" in fantastic condition three years ago for $160 dollars at a thrift village in Daly City -- it was missing a knob and a couple of bridge saddles and he convinced them it was a copy (obviously they knew nothing about guitars) .My wily brother has since absconded with it , but that is another story.

Toward the 3/4 mark on your Louisville Pawn shop shopping a dealer had alot of Civil War items, you added a sound track of slide guitar and mandolin, who is that? What LP is that? Thanks.

Yes... Talk to the managers of the or the store owner.. About filming in a store. For future reference less drama attached.

I wouldn't have even included the first segment in the final edit. It seemed like the only reason it was included was to embarrass the establishment and humiliate the manager, which was fun to watch btw.

The mandolin that's in better shape is a 1920 Washburn. I have a 1895 12 string Washburn. Same shape same pickgard as the one you hold. On the one in the video it has 1920 machine head.

What about a hollow body guitar and change the pickups for the Opti-Pick pickup system plus the associated electronics to make the guitar work with the Opti-Pick pickups, Did you know that Linear Tracking turntables are coming back as the Minot Wheel is such a turntable with the tonearm below the record and the record rotates counter clock ways.

There are tons of Google reviews of that first place saying that that dude flips out any time someone pulls out a phone to check prices. Apparently he accuses them of taking pics of his merchandise. Definitely a great way to ensure you don't get repeat customers. 😂

Cash America Pawn has a website where you can search their inventory online. They also have sales around the holidays and red tags sales. I've found good deals there. Look on the back of the price tags and it will show when the price will drop. Pawnshops that have online or ebay stores are hard to get a deal with them.

I used to live in Frankfort 25 years ago. Bardstown road was the shit! Me and my friend would alternate weekends between Louisville and Lexington to go to music stores. But Bardstown road had it all. Guitar Emporium, Bass world, Music go round, Electric lady land, and a comic book store. And believe it or not a Taco Bell. that was a big deal.
