My favorite section is that part when they go half time, right as Midori is starting her solo. Miyako is playing this sweet rhythm groove that's sounds so funky as Haruna comes in with the toms. I just love it!

The One and Only Voice of Asami The Little Big Engine powered by Haruna The Crazy Shredder is the Amazon warrior Midori (blonde) The Golden Touch is Miyako (dark hair) The Ace on the Bass (my nickname for her) is the 21yr old prodigy Fami
@GarageYears Жыл бұрын
This concert was from earlier this year (March) and was Fami’s (the new bass player)s first ever concert with Lovebites, and her first large concert of any kind. She's 21 years old! Fami - the nuclear power cell of smiles, joy and energy! Notice Fami slaps the two bass solo sections (which the original bass player, Miho, played finger style) and the bass/drum section after the solos is a joy... Asami's look of support and delight, followed by a thumbs up to Fami. Not only did Lovebites make the perfect choice, Fami BELONGS in Lovebites. The energy is radiating from all members. Haruna's playing is incredible here and her drums sound amazing and of course M&M kill on guitar as you'd expect... but notice Miyako seems invigorated!!! She's moving around, head-banging even, more so than I ever remember seeing. "We're back!" Hell yes, you are! GO! Oh, and Asami sounds better than EVER! Nice reaction. There are heavier tracks and others with a more progressive feel. 🤘

for a real treat from LOVEBITES 'a frozen serenade' live from tokyo 2021 hits all of the buttons. you will see miyako go to the piano and midori do her best carlos montoya imitation with a killer spanish acoustic flamenco part in the middle. 10 out of 10 stars. and for perhaps their heaviest and fast guitar solos 'set the world on fire' live will do the trick

Yes, founding bassist, Miho, left in 2021. They recruited Fami after extensive auditions in 2022. What you'll get from Lovebites is classic metal along the the lines of that you mentioned: NWBHM, thrash/power metal. No grit or growling from Asami. She's a female Bruce Dickinson if I've heard one. If you want more extreme in all female Japanese metal, try Nemophila. Extreme vocal (a bit closer to Alissa), 7-string guitars, 5-string bass....you get the idea.

LOVEBITES are elite musicians, and I'm so grateful that they are revitalising the NWOBHM sound, the European Power Metal sound, and the Bay Area Thrash sound. People who prefer the extreme metal sub-genres may not like old-school metal, but I expect most old metal heads like me still love the sound they grew up listening to.

Greetings & thanks for more LOVEBITES. Though it seems "pop" is not a popular descriptive term in Wolf-Pack circles, the word comes to mind with LOVEBITES more often than I speak, write or type it. Nevertheless, I think you and I use that word with different definitions. For me, a unique appeal is their masterful transitions, melody & prog shifts 'for an instant' ... one chord that takes one out of hard thrash, into an expressive & unexpected melodic twist, then back into the brutal groove almost before noticing. Maybe 3 different segments of different Metal styles, immaculately transitioned, into an uplifting soaring chorus, having come from the depths of hell moments ago. I recall from your "Stand & Deliver" reaction your comment using the term "pop" as something undesirable to you. Not knowing clearly how you define "pop" leaves me wondering if LOVEBITES' eclecticism might not be to your 'taste'. We shall see. They are so far beyond "one-trick pony" as to be undefinable in genre/style. If 'clean' melodic vocals embracing an honest & positive message are "pop" to you, under that definition LOVEBITES would be a "pop" band, for sure. Consider, LOVEBITES' songs tell a story. The music and band's presentation of it suit that story. Many stories, many expressions to convey the diversity of experiences life brings, with a 'lean' to self-empowerment, integrity, dignity & personal-responsibility. This 'message' is why I'm here typing this... Aren't I lucky that it is brought to me with phenomenal compositions, arrangements and performances by a group of sincere, open, accessible, beautiful & beautifully-creative virtuoso musicians in unsurpassed precision? (yeah, that was a question! sorta...) I will add, one-song-at-a-time will never "tell the story" of LOVEBITES LIVE. ''Trio of Miho'' is 3 songs written by founder, former leader & bassist Miho as consecutively performed in "Heavy Metal Never Dies" 2021 beginning after 80 minutes/12 songs. No breaks, "The Apocalypse > M.D.O. > Don't Bite The Dust" > Holy War/fade (15 minutes) subjects: surviving atomic-bombs > cautionary wisdom > self-empowerment & positivity! kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqWlfWOHbJlnrqM BE THERE!, non-stop for 15 minutes! 🐺

Is this your fourth reaction to LOVEBITES ? On your channel, I see only 2 reactions to LOVEBITES. 🤗 'The Hammer of Wrath' video was recorded on March 11, 2023, during a concert in Tokyo. The 'Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down')' Music Video you checked out last time was first shown on February 21, 2023, during the online presentation of the new 'Judgement Day' album (release February 22, 2023). The MV was recorded a little earlier. The time difference between the recordings of these 2 videos is small (several weeks). Fami plays bass on both songs (in LOVEBITES since October 2022). Her appearance hasn't changed in these few weeks....😊 I did not understand what you meant when you said it goes a little into the pop area? 😳100% metal song in my opinion. Or do you think that if a metal song has a beautiful melodic guitar solo and some backing vocals, then this is already a pop area ? 🤭 I suggest checking out LOVEBITES 'Thunder Vengeance' (2020). Interestingly, in this song you will also find a little pop area or not?🤔

A bit of unsolicited but well intentioned advice. This was my first time coming across your channel, and it seems like you may have reacted to Lovebites before. It's always a good idea to read up a little about the video you're about to react to. You should know all the band members names if you've reacted to them beforre. With this particualr video you should have known that they was their first show back after taking time off to find a new bass player. And yes, Midori is an insane guitarist, she and Miyako both are probably the best duo in metal today as far as I am concerned, but I'm a drummer so what do I know. LOL

A remarkable moment for Lovebites and also for Lovebites fans! Asami screams "WE ARE BACK" at the opening of the song - maybe because it has been a while, they haven't played in a concert since Miho (former bassist and band founder) left the band (2021). By the way, M & M (Midori and Miyako, the 2 leading guitar players), they are both splendid, extraordinary, and also have different personalities and styles that complement each other very well. Above all, far from competing with each other, they highlight each others work. It's a wonderful partnership! You should listen do 'Shadowmaker' and 'Break the wall'. I think these two are nice and heavier songs. But they really don't have any song you would hate... Also, this is the very first live video with the new bass player - Fami! She is just 20 y.o.!!!
