Elixirs are definetly the best longrun strings out of the group. The slinkys are best for a week max. But good video dude!

Hey I just put on some Dunlop heavy core strings 48-10 and the high e popped while tuning it up.

Elixirs are #1 when I am trying to make the strings last as long as possible...regular Slinkys are #1 for me when I am trying to sound as good as possible :)

Ernie Ball is the goat! I change my strings when they break/get disgusting on a guitar that needs cleaning REAL bad. So I usually go maybe 1-2 months without changing strings. Like you said... Probably more than I should. Ernie Ball is all I use though, and they serve me absolutely perfectly!

Yeah I love my Ernie balls so much. I did just get some string joy to try since everyone has been hyping them up

I use elixir nanoweb on all my guitars for more than 10 years!? Before a couple of days I have put the regular slinkies on my Zeus. Mate, they slay!

Niiiiiice! Always good to try something new every once in awhile because you never know!

You should do a shootout on all those different string: ernie ball cobalts, M steel etc

Yeah I’d be totally down for that! Ernie ball shoot out.

I wonder how some of their bass counterparts would compare.
@JesseMichel3 жыл бұрын
That would be Interesting to see. I’ve had the same strings on my bass since I purchased it years ago 😂😂

i came to the right place. You just confirmed me what i experienced. I just bought a Gibson and the strings the previous owner had on them were 2y old...but in good shape. The guitar sounded so musical. I changed them with elixirs optiweb, strummed...hmm....something is not the same. They are louder, crisp (as the box says), but somehow meh. just normal...So yeah...i guess the default ernie balls are the staple to most rock guitarists for a reason.

Jesse you should try stringjoy! Enjoyed your review thanks.

I’ve had several people say that now. The company even commented on the IG post. I might finally give them a try. Thanks for watching and commenting Ken! I appreciate that a lot.

I never knew that the slinkys didn’t last. Kinda disappointing considering that I use those.

@@JesseMichel never played steel strings on nickel frets 😜 M-Steel are steel strings, Cobalt is stell core with nickel wound, and regular EBs are just nickel. Hybrid Slinkys are my jam 46-9 🤘

putting regular slinky and xl above nyxl is dumb af
@disturbed15711 ай бұрын
I've been playing nyxl and I like them but he gave a valid reason for not liking them. It's always down to the player (except Dunlop they just suck)
@preston26362 жыл бұрын
Dumb list. Slinky strings suck especially for tuning stability and lifetime. They die in 3 to 4 weeks.
