Good lesson, but I suggest replacing the 1st chord with the same shape as the 2nd starting on the 4th fret, not only is it easier in my opinion, but allows you to get that sliding sound you hear in the song, likely how it was originally played

Found this video because I was looking at mac songs to play. I'm having trouble hopefully you can help I can fret all 6 strings on 9 but when I try to add the ring finger I tune the strings out instead my fingers are more short and fat then long any hints on what I can do? I'm still a beginner jusy picked up my old guitar after 20 years and decided it was time to learn

You just gotta work on your barre chords and build up the Callouses on the side of your barre chord finger. This guy for sure has been playing guitar for a long time. Being that he can’t transition easily from from minor to major bard chords, knows most if not all of the pentagonic scales and his bare chords come out so clean.

Bar chords are actually cancer. I’m pressing my fuckin finger down on all the strings to where it literally almost turned black and blue because of how much pressure I’m applying and some strings still end up muted like I don’t fn get it I think the strings go up in the divets of the finger and dont get pressed all the way or some shit but how do you get around that? Do I have to file the fn flesh down on my finger so it’s completely flat?! I really hate bar chords.
