Hi guys, so I decided to put up the chords you need to play this song according to @BobbySproat's version for all players (beginners friendly): Jeremy Zucker - talk is overrated ft. blackbear Standard Tuning with No Capo *Strings Order:* Thickest: E A D G B Thinnest: E *Strumming Chords:* Cadd9: X32033 Em7 (Bobby's version): 022030 D (Bobby's version): X54030 *Fingerpicking Chords (all bar chords and one normal):* Bm: X24432 C: X35553 Em: 079980 D: X57775 Am: X02210 *Fingerpicking Chords (one bar chord and all normal):* Bm: X24432 C: X32010 Em: X22000 D: XX0232 Am: X02210 *Explanation:* In this type of chord writing, you go from the low E string to the high E string from left to right. The numbers do not represent the fingers you are playing with or the string itself but rather the fret your fingers are supposed to be on. Eg. In Em7 chord, you play the low E open, the A string on 2nd fret, the D string on 2nd fret, the G string open, the B string on the 3rd fret and the high E string open. 1. 'X' means you don't play that string. 2. '0' simply means it's an open string so you don't put a finger on that string 3. Any other numbers mean the fret that the string is supposed to be play on *NOT THE STRINGS' NUMBERS OR THE FINGERS' NUMBERS* Pls reply to my comment if you have any questions regarding this tutorial. Also, You're Welcome XD

Max, thank you for going so out of your way to write this out! I know my explanation may not be the most beginner friendly so I really appreciate the extra guides for anyone looking to learn the song! This is truly awesome

You explained everything so fast like your explaining this to someone who is pro in this things!! I bet none of the beginners would even get whatever u said bruh.. I wanted to learn this but your explanation was so hard

ar riyan I’m sorry about that! I’m still working on getting better at explaining things so that they’re accessible for everyone. I learn most of my covers by ear or through online tabs/chords. The best advice I could give it just take it slow and work on one chord at a time. Once you feel comfortable with those, then go into the strumming patterns and factor those in. I didn’t want the video to be too long so my speed ended up affecting other areas. I’ll work on it for the next tutorial I do!

@@BobbySproat don't worry about it man. Your tutorial is the closest thing to the original all the others are the stripped down version and I think the explanation was fine.

Hi kind sir. thank you for sharing this! I personally dont like the guitar of the stripped version (sorry Jeremy), so this video is really helpful. And sir, Pls add illustrations of the chords next time, so that beginners like me can catch up pretty easily. Thanks again and God bless.

Can you tell me the strumming pattern
@BobbySproat3 жыл бұрын
For the most part the strumming pattern in the verses is a DUDUDUDU back and forth motion. The timing of the strums is more important I find, and I touch upon that in the video. The choruses and bridge are mostly picking so you shouldn’t have to worry about strumming patterns for that. I’m sorry it’s not too descriptive, but I hope this helps! It’s a down-up-down-up repeated pattern. Just watch for the timing!
