I make small washtub basses out of Giant bean cans. And now building one out of a big popcorn tin bucket. I use a flexible 3D printer filament for a string.🤘🤠🤘

KZbin put a commercial perfectly in time with you changing hats! Lol! Couldn’t have done a better job! I dig the Bass, it’s on my list to build one, as soon as I get #2 & #3 guitars built. Appreciate your videos, I’m happy to see you’re back (missed you for a bit) Enjoy!

Thank you, Johnny. Good luck with #2 and #3. Its VERY hard to build JUST one lol I'm back in the saddle again :)

For me the favorite part about making a guitar, is choosing what to make it out of. So far I've done cigar boxes, ammo boxes, and I think the next one's going to be a shovel or a mattock.
@SouthernFireGuitars4 күн бұрын
I agree, I'd like to do a shovel guitar. M~

Another excellent video Michael. Great audio ( who was that band?), good editing, and of course, an excellent job on the bass build. Really impressed with the sound even from your guitar amp. What did you finish the neck with? Came out really nice. Fun!!
@SouthernFireGuitars4 күн бұрын
Thanks Pine. Now sure of the band, its a music selection through my Video editing program. I used a spray gloss lacquer

Great idea, the makeup brush from your wife😅 Still love your finish! Do you paint a first layer black paint and then a hole layer of green paint and then destress with sandpaper? Greetings, Thomas

Thank you Thom. Yes, on the finish. 😎

Looking good. It’d be great if there was a busker kit for the bass as well. Does anyone know how much that kit squelches the overall volume and tone of the busker guitar vs if it had no speakers mounted to the soundboard?
@SouthernFireGuitars4 күн бұрын
Thanks, not sure on that one
