Shane, enjoy your lessons and your enthusiasm. In answer to your question about play alongs, I always enjoy hearing intro, verse, chorus, bridge, outro etc., before the lesson even starts. This way I can hear the instructors take on the song and what "extras" or riffs may be included in their lesson.

This is really, really helpful. I am not a natural musician and so breaking the lesson down in this way helps me to grasp the feel and content of a song. The format works really well! Providing the play a long video just completes the lesson and allow me to put your tips and comments into practice. I have downloaded your song sheets and look forward to working through your other lessons soon. Thank you! Keep up the great work!

Love your play alongs; none better. Came up with a slick way to hit G9 chord with ease. In the chorus "...thought by now..." from the D to G leave ring finger on b-string 3rd fret, play regular G fingering, pinky on e-string 3rd fret. Only top two fingers move down to play the G9.. EASY. If anyone makes sense of this, reply.

Shane, thanks for doing the play-along video! I can play the verses, still working on the chorus. I have been using your "how to" videos for about 6 months now. In fact, I played "Dust in the Wind" for my guitar recital this month. I learned Travis picking from you, showed my guitar teacher what I was learning, so he took it one step further and taught me how to play the melody. So, for my recital, we played it as a duet, switching back & forth between harmony and melody. It was fun! It would be great to see that song as a play-along video. Anyway, I like how you teach...I just started taking lessons 2 years ago, at age 50, and I love it.
