I think the way that they've set it up in Rock Band makes sense. "Extraordinary Girl" barely even feels like it leads into "Letterbomb". The final sustain of the former has pretty much finished by the time that the radio static of the latter begins, let alone its lyrics or guitar chords. On the other hand, although "Holiday" leads straight into "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", both songs were very famous singles. Casual players and fans of the songs might not enjoy having to play through a whole song just to play BoBD.

Well, to be fair, there are challenges that allow you to play the albums in their entirety, in the correct order.

In the career mode, each album has its songs sorted in order by difficulty. This was to counteract an issue with TB:RB where all of the songs were in chronological order, which led to the beginning of the career being harder than the ending, as The Beatles' earlier work was generally faster-paced.
