Enjoyed your reaction. So happy you are listening to Bruce! If you ever have the chance to see him live definitely go. I have been to 3 of his concerts and they were epic! As others have mentioned this is a song from the Commodores written as a tribute to Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson, two wonderful soul singers that had recently passed away when they wrote this. Follow up and listen to some Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson. Jackie’s voice was so crystal clear, you can see him perform Lonely Tears Drops on KZbin. I grew up with my dad being a big soul fan so I have listened to both of them tons.

If you were just in the process of discovering Bruce (The Boss) Springsteen a year ago when you made this reaction video, I hope you've had a chance to enter the biggest rabbit hole in the whole of rock music, which is Bruces incredible songbook, spanning 50 years and hundreds, yes HUNDREDS of magical and iconic songs, covering a number of different genre's. There's a very good reason people refer to Bruce as 'The Boss' and hopefully you've discovered that for yourself by now. Cheers Sean! 🙋♂

Well this is not his song, it is The Comodoros song sung in memory of two African- American top singers Marvin Gay and Jack Wilson. He did sing it nicely, and he needs a credit for revitalizing our memories of these two great Stars. Go and listen the original night shift, and the two stars mentioned above, which this song is all about.

I.M.O, It is Not' Better,!!!!! But It is a fantastic Cover of The Commodores.... I have been ,Binge listening, to ,Both Versions over the last 24 Hours. And I am a Great Bruce ,Fan. But I also remember when this Song was released. I think that The Commodores, was the version, that, " Just ",, edged it for me. I remember singing along to, Nightshift,.. When it first was released. !! Whilst I was up a Ladder With my Transistor Radio,.. Painting an office Blocks, Windows. In, RHYL, North WALES, ENGLAND. It brought back, Many''''',, Happy Memories. !!!!! .... Not least, the responses , that I got from the people, working ,inside the offices, I send them ,ALL,'' " My Apologies, for persevering with , a Painter with a , TERRIBLE VOICE.. ... But I did get A "couple" of Cheer's , and Claps..... I will now carry on listening to this Brilliant !! Song... It is ageless....And well done', to Bruce,.... and the Commodores. ...... Just have to , Dry my eyes a bit now. !!!!!! And carry on replaying , Both '', Versions.
