@@GuitarLessonsVancouverver 😎 cool. I had one of those. I sold it sometime last year. I had a tough time with those pickups. To my ears they seemed quite dark. It was an awesome guitar though. I generally have the TV Classics and I have a Hot Rod Model with the Setzers. I enjoyed the lesson as always.

This is a fine video, I can definitely say my noodling has gotten better now that I actually try to focus on the tonic note or identify other notes in the sequence that fit. It's alot to wrap one's head around but videos like this help make it clearer in real time.

This is a great lesson for me. I know all the 5 minor pentatonic scales and their 1-4-5 roots well. I've been trying to play licks over the changes while landing on the respective root. my problem is "finding" and memorizing licks that will accomplish that. Thank you!
@rmack92262 ай бұрын
my problem is all my licks sound the same inside each box
@retiredguyadventures62112 ай бұрын
@@rmack9226 I'm in the same boat, but that's not necesseraly a bad thing. I try to chang the lick just a little over each chord change while targeting the root of each chord I'm playing over. It's starting to come together and sound better. I like to practice over backing tracks that I can keep up with, and throw in new licks as I learn them. Some I remember and some I don't, but some I really latch onto for some reason. I guess that's what makes us all different when it comes to playing the blues. Not all of us can sound like Eric Clapton.

it popped in my mind that the tv character Kelly Bundy would also lose a fact (Riff) if she learned a new one. 😆

Good lesson, what a pity, There' s😢 no guitar tab exemples to illustrate this lesson, thanks.

Tabs are a crutch. You are better off getting away from them. Helped me out.
@GuitarLessonsVancouver2 ай бұрын
Sorry, sometimes I have tabs here on the screen on KZbin too, but was running low on time this week to do that. Tabs for this one are now on Patreon though: www.patreon.com/posts/tabs-turn-into-113390891

It's kind of the point of this video to not be so specific. Just pick a pentatonic shape and come up with your own thing.
@ethanpunto9222Ай бұрын
@@curefan28yea precisely, the idea is that you're not memorising licks. People rly underestimate how beneficial it is to avoid being spoon fed tab and working things out visually or by ear etc. Rly helps you become a better player

Kinda missing the forest for the trees on this one.

But what do you do when you find one that you really love and you didn't love it enough to do it every day for 2 weeks to remember it? I found the answer a few weeks ago.. Record your own "noodles". and then listen to them.
