This man has nothing but class. He's a celebrity, a rock star, a multi-zillionaire, and a member of one of the most successful rock bands in history. Yet, there he is... all 5'2" of him sitting in a chair with a cup of tea in his hand answering all of the interviewer's questions in a manner that would be appropriate for even a kindergarten class. No bragging about himself, giving most of the credit to his beloved brother Malcom, and not a single foul word all through the interview. It's almost like an interview with Jesus.

Malcolm has also stated that him being a better lead player than Angus is absolute nonsense, and his little brother is just being super humble. Malcolm has said people have yet to realize how truly great Angus is as a player, and he will eventually go down as one of the best to ever pick up a guitar. I fully agree with him. Angus is well liked but he hasn't gotten his just dues on how brilliant he really is. I think his superb showmanship often overshadows just how good he really is. He has some of the best vibrato in the world, and that's one of the most challenging aspects of the guitar to have great vibrato. You can often judge how great a player is by it.

Great story about Jim Marshall, the guy that started Marshall. He was a jazz drummer back in the day and owned a music store. There was a scrawny little kid that would hang around his store with the drumkits. That kid was Mitch Mitchell, who later played with Jimi Hendrix! Jim was his first drum teacher. Who would have thought. This all ties in together.

I saw him so many times, even from the rows up front. He seems to be a possessed man in a different state of consciousness, channeling so much energy into his small body. How his body withstood that treatment is a mystery. The hardest working man in show business! An-gus!

I had no idea Malcom was such a big part of Angus's sound from learning songs by ear then teaching Angus and even pointing him towards using an SG, It's also pretty mind blowing to learn that Malcom got him to use the wireless set up that made it possible for him to be so physical onstage. It occurs to me that the story of ACDC is really more about a family than a rock band. You may have heard the name came from their sister seeing on a sewing machine. Let's not forget George Young rhythm guitarist for the EasyBeats who were considered to be the Australian Beatles. Having an older brother who had some success in playing in a rock band, I would have dropped out of high school at 15 too!

My first electric guitar was an Encore Strat copy, sunburst and a solid state amp from Sears. Reminiscing is great. Man, that was 47 years ago. Now I just build and review guitars and pickups.

Great tribute to his brother here. He misses him so much I'm sure. Angus got the most attention but he shows in this interview how vital Malcolm was and he made ACDC who they are in my opinion.

Sounds like Malcolm had a really good ear and great taste. I envy that Angus got to have such a close, productive relationship, with a sibling, for all those years. Most of us never had that. Thanks, Angus, for all the fun, since I first saw you play live, in Sydney, in 1975, when I was 13. Life-changing experience. You guys pulled down the roof, of the Hordern Pavilion and you blew the head-line act off the stage. Needless to say, I joined a band by age 15. I love the fact that he's still got a broad Aussie accent after all these years. I can tell he's in Sydney because of that 80's chair from another interview. Rock on, mate. We love you.
