I think Aurora likes leaving her songs open to interpretation. I guess that's art where many people can view the same piece and see something different. Great reaction. Thanks.

Aurora music is very emotional. And very often her songs are open for interpretation (and often also poetic). Of course Aurora has her specific story or specific inspiration for writing the song but still you can find your variant of meaning. For me it is about mercy killing (like someone is terminally ill/in pain). I have also alternative interpretation that it is about someone with problems who love someone but kills her because of his emotional condition but then he realized what happened and cry (and some variants of it).

Aurora is a master storyteller and song writer. She is very emphatic and sheds light on dark subject matter with her hauntingly beautiful lyrics and voice, she is performance art at its best and IMO there is no one better at it.. Thanks for reacting to my all time favorite artist

Lol at whe you said "hffefglbrh" 😂 Aurora can do that sometimes 😊 Funny, when you mentioned how everything is so sweet and innocent when you're a child, that's actually a great segue to her next essential song: Through the Eyes of a Child (live at Nidarosdomen, very important). That's arguably one of her most soul wrenching songs, sung in a giant cathedral with a choir and orchestra. Thank you, great reaction!

Definitely second this suggestion, beautiful song😍

I believe its about a woman who was terminally ill and in pain , her husband killed her to end her suffering . Aurora had read about it in a newspaper or seen something on TV.

It is amazing how many different interpretations people can have about a song. That is what I love about music is that it can mean so many different and unintentional things to all sorts of people. Thanks for watching, I truly appreciate it.

Yeah I thought it was about a woman with a terminal illness and her husband killing her so she wouldn’t suffer anymore as well. Aurora is truly unique, her ability to express through her music and her performance is amazing.

@@guitarsgames1978 they say it’s a story about a mercy killing. “In boxes” is not an actual story, but fantasy story
@joskogeler6421 Жыл бұрын
Agree. It's a real mercy killing. I seems like that planned it together. " I know, he knows" may suggest that she even convinced him herself. A very sad love song to me.

👍😍😍 Very nice reaction🤗 Aurora likes that people interpret her songs in the way they feel, but she of course has her own. And in an interview she said: “Her, she didn't want to be in this world anymore, and she knew that this man would do anything for her. She asks him to kill her and he said : 'Ok, I love you, I would do anything for you.' After he killed her, he became sad because she didn't move anymore and he didn't understand where she went. He didn't understand why she left and he start crying. And it is sad, because for the rest of his life, he will not understand and he will be sad." In another interview, she said: "First of all, I have a really vivid imagination. You know that these things may be happening to someone right now. It's kind of a terrifying thought. I just had to get that thought out of my head - and that's why I wrote this song. But the two characters are actually just made up in my head. I've written many songs about them - maybe I'll make a book with them." Could you please check out: “Through the eyes of a child” live at Nidarosdomen🙏😍

this song is really wonderful because you can read the meaning behind her lyrics in her eyes

I really liked hearing your thoughts on the meaning, love having people make me think outside of my own thought patterns.

Hello, great reaction again. Thank you. Sorry, but my comments are often quite long. But I would like to tell you more about AURORA so that you can better understand her music. AURORA is not a mean stream. She is different - in the best sense. She is my favorite singer. If you enjoy her music, you have a wonderful journey ahead of you. Her songs are very different, both in terms of lyrics and music. This is probably the saddest love song I've ever heard. A man shoots his wife to end her suffering. Can love be bigger and more painful at the same time than in this story? AURORA manages to make this pain palpable with her voice and her movements. You have seen AURORA's eyes. She wasn't on stage. She was somewhere else. You saw how deeply she was thinking about these two people, that she sometimes shook herself uncontrollably. I believe that she is not conscious of her movements. She's so into the story in her head that she's doing the moves in the story. I heard that AURORA was horrified by these movements when she saw the recording of the performance. That means for me that she did it unconsciously. Her empathy must be beyond measure. She spreads all her feelings that she has in this moment in front of us and lets us look into her heart and soul. There is no other way I can explain that almost everyone who saw this performance was affected by this story. AURORA is more than a storyteller, more than a singer. AURORA is a true artist. This is from an interview with Aurora: "First of all, I have a really vivid imagination. You know that these things may be happening to someone right now. It's kind of a terrifying thought. I just had to get that thought out of my head - and that's why I wrote this song. But the two characters are actually just made up in my head. I've written many songs about them - maybe I'll make a book with them." And in another interview: It’s just fascinating that some people can have in them the desire to kill while some people cannot pick a flower without feeling bad. That's about this I wrote 'Murder Song'. How can a man kill someone he loves and it happens often in the world. But he doesn't really understand what he did, it's a very complicated story. Her, she didn't want to be in this world anymore, and she knew that this man would do anything for her. She asks him to kill her and he said: 'Ok, I love you, I would do anything for you.' After he killed her, he became sad because she didn't move anymore and he didn't understand where she went. He didn't understand why she left and he start crying. And it is sad, because for the rest of his life, he will not understand and he will be sad." ----------------------- AURORA doesn't care what the audience thinks about her. And that is exactly what makes her free as an artist. She does it her way because she likes it. This freedom to do what she wants and not what she thinks the audience wants is what pulls off this masterpiece. Quotes from AURORA - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJWxoniohLp6a6c - 28.06.2019 People often ask me how it is to be me. Which I find to be a very odd question. But then I sit down and I think about it. And I think the biggest difference between me and many people I meet is that I'm extremely free. I've never really cared about what people think what is right or to do what's wrong to do because I don't see any reason to stop myself from fulfilling my impulsive thoughts or doing whatever I want to do. And it's quite a good life when you're free and it's kind of weird because it's this in invisible force stopping people from following their instincts and from doing what they want. Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany

Never apologize for lengthy comments. I greatly enjoy learning as much as I can about artists I listen to. I believe that one should never stop learning, seeking , and finding new things and ideas. Stagnation is dreary.

I agree with KevDenn and that's the Love and Magic that Aurora shares working.....she makes you think, she hits deep in your core, and it becomes intimate and personal, cause we all have our own thoughts and yes Aurora is a Master of her Craft. And you have a bright point in your feedback, I had not thought about it this way, but yes it makes a lot of sense Take a shot at this one, maybe not for reating, but for your own delight, cmon man be kind to yourself and indulge kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqKlp56BjdZ1eMU

Great reaction, but i cant follow your interpretation😅 There is no hint for the abusive relationship. But many for selfless love: I know, he knows, that he is killing me for mercy. He holds my body in his arms, he didnt mean to do no harm and he holds me tight. He did it all, to spare me from the awful things in life that comes and cries and cries.
@Josian-ps7fb Жыл бұрын
For me, she (the dying speaker) tells her unvarnished truth, as she sees and feels it, before leaving. So if there's an abusive relationship (like some manipulation), she can't give you any hint. That being said, I see things like you, just what her words say directly, so...🙂
