Here's classical guitarist, Laurel Harned, performing "I. La Serenor" from Vicente Asencio's "Collectici Intim". Laurel recorded this piece on a 2022 Giovanni Tacchi classical guitar made with cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

Wonderful, lush treble tones. I'm envious of her straight, tensionless wrist and ability to roll big chords so fluidly with such a short thumbnail. Great playing.

why would you need a long thumbnail to roll chords?

@@corvusmonedulas4895 My thumbnail is shaped like half of a pipe; very curved, causing the outer edge to be prone to snag the strings, when short. Consequently, to get a clean release from the strings, I need to either have a very long thumbnail that can be tapered to glide across the strings, or I can play with a higher wrist that directs the thumb more perpendicular to the strings, ala Segovia. I hate having to maintain long nails, so I opted for the higher wrist, which comes with it's own drawbacks.
