Can't thank you enough for this! As embarassing as it may be I have been practicing this for the last 6 months little by little and just in the last month have made it to the last lick. I can finally hack my way through it but still need a lot of work to make it all fit together and sounds close to decent. I have spent many hours on this video and can't wait to get to the next one!
@Mr.Tabs.Guitar.Lessons Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your support 🙏. It all takes time to get the most difficult pieces down and it will all become second nature eventually. Don't be embarrassed! I was there once upon a time, trust me. It's great and inspiring to anybody who reads your comment, I am sure, that you have come back to this to continually work on it and nail it. Best of luck with the next song 😊

I know a lot of people don't like to play songs note for note and prefer to add their own inflection but I prefer to learn a song exactly how it's played. Your covers do just that, they're covered note for note and played perfectly. Regarding SRV, this is perfect and I really hope you do more SRV covers.

I think this guy has telepathic powers that allows ghost to enter his body and play their songs note for note. That must be it. Thank you Stevie. We miss you! All jokes aside, Mr. Tabs you're amazing, probably hear this a lot but this is so cool, such a huge body of work you've put out and the Tube is the perfect tool for learning each measure and playing back to watch your fingering and picking is amazing.

Just wow. Thing about Stevie to me is his rhythm is spectacularly strong in his playing, he effortlessly hits his strings ferociously, Ive seen plenty of covers and the notes might be right and the timing ok but it doesnt sound right without that ferocious intensity. You know what Im talking about because you just did it, sounded great, better yet, sounded authentic.

Thank you so much for these! There were a few of my favorite licks this just taught me that I couldn’t figure out before. I wish I would’ve found your channel sooner. How much would it cost for you to send me a down-tuned version of Hotel California? I keep my guitar at 1 step down for the song, and I play/sing it 2 steps down in the key of Gmin (Amin form on the neck with the down-tuning). I’m lost with trying to re-tab the whole solo myself.

His style is very hard to replicate , it's almost a reckless abandonment. But in a good way , this guy nailed it though. Iv'e seen Stevie way back in the early 80's at a small club up close , before he took off. My jaw was on the floor watching him , it's crazy to see him play in person because his style looks so reckless. Dude was amazing live , i probably saw him at least a half dozen times if not more before he died. I think the last time was with him opening for Robert Plant at a colosseum in my state. I was supposed to see him on a stadium tour with the Allman Brothers and Charlie Daniels but never made it , figuring i'd catch him the next time he came around. Unfortunately he passed away shortly after and iv'e regretted not going ever since , he was one of my favorites even though i'm a metal head. Iv'e always loved the blues also , i remember hearing this song for the first time. It was completely different from anything on the radio at the time. I bought the cassette and carried my "boombox" around blasting this!
